Hi everyone,

I have had a really bad weekend. I have just found out that the

garden that I had been planning so energetically for month is not

mine.

I should briefly explain the situation: we just moved upstairs from

my husband's uncle. As the house is planted on a steep slope, he has

the backyard and we have an enclosed yard out front. Or rather, I

thought we had the yard out front. I just assumed it went with the

house and no one ever corrected me. I have said to my uncle-in-law

many times how glad I was to have my very own garden for the first

time in my life. I got all kinds of books out of the library and read

as much as I could about gardening. I even took notes!

Well, now I find that the frontyard is my uncle-in-law's.

I'm upset because I am disappointed; because I wasted so much time

reading and planning and dreaming about the garden; because I feel

betrayed that my uncle-in-law let me prattle on about gardening for

almost 4 months without mentioning that I wouldn't be doing any. Also

I feel so sad that now I have nothing to look forward to. Thinking

about the garden took my mind off my pain. Now what will I do?

Anyway, for the people here who are also members of the physically

challenged gardeners group, that's why I abruptly dropped out. I

wanted to type an explanation before I left, but I was too upset.

Hope your gardens are beautiful this summer -
