[Letting go is not holding on with fewer fingers.]

Maybe, 'letting go' could be grabbing onto something else? Like when we

teach/try to teach our kids to stop using their sleeve we put a napkin in their

hand. {Edith must have gone to bed...reverting back to psych 101...we can not

extinguish 'let go of' a behavior unless we replace it with another}

Re: we will be able to resist twinkies if we buy granola bars instead.

{running out to get more twinkies}

Letting go is letting go. Letting go is not holding on with fewer

fingers.

Tiny steps are slow.

Right now I would rather just chop my hands off - free fall to where

ever that takes me - feel whatever thud occurs - and when I can - get

up and dust myself off...and start moving foward again.

Hi Carol,

I fooled you, I'm still up.

Other 'replacements' to grab onto include:

- Letting go of old (negative) thoughts and replacing them with

new (positive) ones.

- Letting go of old habits and replacing them with new habits.

- Doing something nice for one's SELF every day, even if its

just watching a sunset or smelling a flower.

Gotta go now 'n get some zzzzzzzzzzs

G'night...

- Edith
