Hi and welcome,

My name is Donna and I have had chronic back pain for the same amount of time.

It gets wearing, doesn't it. And you are right about it learning a new path

everyday. I have not had surgery on my back. Of 17 doctors only one wanted to

operate and the rest said the odds were too great that I would be paralized. So

here I sit, with far from as many problems as you have, but many the same. Mine

is my back, hips, upper legs, tailbone and bad arthritis in my hands and

shoulders. So I can understand some of your pain.

I wish I could help each and every one of us. I think we are going through our

hell on earth. Not that I am feeling sorry, I am not...only sometimes. lol And

yes, there are tears too. Why is usually the question...I am good to people,

pick dead animals out of the road, try and stand by my kids and generally be a

good person. So, Why? Some day we will all find out I guess.

In the mean time, you have us now to talk to and we all understand. Donna

I am and just joined the group. I have endured chronic pain for

13 years now. I have had nine spinal operations, nerve damage,

degenertive joint disease, connective tissue disease, collagen

vascular disease, arthritis, osteo and rhumatoid, plus diabetes,

tycardia, hyperlipidemea, and ptsd. Almost forgot migraines.

Oh, wow, I cannot begin to tell you how your intro. made me feel.Half

smiled at your sense of humor, half cried because I can almost

understand.I say almost, because I haven't had everyday pain for

nearly as long,and yet, I can remember my Dad's suffering, from much

of your problems, and his struggles, his silence.If only there had

been people like eeveryone here for him to talk to, to know it was

okay to speak of his pain, to not push himself.He passed away 6 mos.

after retiring, begrudgingly.If only...

I hope everyone who sufers from any chronic pain, no matter what can

find such great people to talk to, because being alone in pain is

awful.
