Guest guest Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 Hi JJ - I took over the counter Potassium Iodide - the ones I got were 32.5 mg per tablet. I took 3 per day (morning, noon and night) for about 10 days - my EN was pretty bad when I started taking it and within 3-4 days i saw improvement - i was on other things also so i'm not sure my improvement was just from the Potassium Iodide - but I know it didn't hurt me. When i started taking it i had the EN for about a month good luck ~ newbie here with a question... Hello all. I just found this group last night while searching for any new info on my EN. I have just a second on here, I have a little one "helping me" LOL. I plan on filling out the med history that was sent to me tonight or tomorrow. I was just thrilled to find anyone who had ever even heard of EN! I have one quick question for you all...Have any of you ever tried the potassium iodide tablets that they sell over the counter? I talked to my pharmacist today, he said they are not as concentrated as the SSKI drops. I am just wondering if anyone here has tried them and if so, in what dose?? Any info would be great. We pay cash for dr. visits now, and I doubt they will call in a perscription for something they haven't even heard of!! I would likely have to go to the regular dr., then the dermatologist so, I am trying to avoid that great expense. Thanks so much...JJ Quote
Guest guest Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Thanks so much for the info. I am going to try and locate some locally, but may just order it off the net. Again, thanks!! JJ Quote
