Guest guest
OK, OK, OK, I tied Ray to the bed, and gagged him long enough to post! LOL, Life has just been so busy it has been insane, but wonderful! We just got home from Las Vegas, where our oldest daughter Nena married the father of our beautiful grandaughter! It was a themed wedding and Ray was Uncle Kracker (droopy drawers and all!), I dressed as kd lang (wore my " gay female seeks gay female " shirt, round black shades, black leather vest and boots, and spiked my now 75% grey hair - OMG when did THAT happen?). Our daughter got married wearing a neon pink waist length wig, the matron of honor was Marilyn Monroe and the grooms family came as the whole cast of Gilligans island! It was INSANE!!! But so beautiful we all cried, and cried, then laughed til we cried! The most awesome part of the whole trip? Our hotel room was on the 3rd floor, I got to CLIMB 3 flights of stairs several times daily and did it without even needing a rest! I got to take our grandbabies to the Freemont Sreet experience and walk it, not once, not twice, but 4 times, from end to end!!! I didn't have to say " gramma needs to rest " even once!!! Life has just been amazing! LOL, lots of silly things going on - my sister and I have had this weird " link " since we were kids, if one of us got sick, or hurt, the other felt it, even miles, or hundreds of miles away, if I get hives, there is a 90% chance she has them, if she has chest pain or an asthma attack, she calls to warn me and finds out I have already taken nitro or my inhaler! LOL, she was 225 pounds and a size 22 or 2X when I had my DS, and she wanted to have it also, but had no insurance, we laughed it off and said, " why bother? " I will have the surgery, you will lose the weight. " Well, here we are 18 months later, and I am wearing size 8's....and she has gone from a size 22 to a size 10 and she actually got into my size 6 jeans the oither night! NO dieting, no surgery, the pounds are just dropping off her! We are just amazed and in shock! LOL, could be her new job, she lifts 20 to 30 thousand pounds of cheese a day.....but we blame it on my ds!! She looks and feels amazing! But she is stealing all my clothes! Let's see.....we have 2 months of peace until Ray starts officiating football again, I am preparing for having 2 in high school and one in 8th grade, my ex-husband is staying here with us for s few more months it seems, and life is semi-normal, chaos!! I am always around, I read posts but rarely have time to respond! We are so wrapped up with a group we have locally and a local band we support that we seem to go and go and go all the time! LOL, ANOTHER awesome thing, I was with my ex 14 years and maybe danced with him twice, and with Ray I would never dance either, but now.....LOL, 5 hours of dancing on a Saturday night is a normal thing! Non stop, dirty dancing, slow dancing, just plain old rocking out classic rock ands roll boogying! LOL, I have been known to slow dance wth him in the grocery store if the right song comes along! I am still amazed at the changes the DS has created in my life! The things I CAN do, the things I WANT to do, all make life so sweet! Life is good! God is GREAT! And the ds gave me a new life! I have only lost 1-2 more pounds but my weight seems to have stabilized at 135-137 and bounces to 145 or so depending on PMS etc....I am in size 8's prety much all the time, but have some 6's that fit great too! Heck, if I gained back 10-15 pounds I would still be thrilled and completely happy with where I am, I surpassed my goal a long time ago! LOL, all I wanted to be was 170 and a size 14-16 again! But God had other plans!
