Guest guest
, When I switch to Avinza I was on the Fentanyl patch. Unknown to me, the doctor (a pain management specialist) gave me half the dosage of Avinza that I was currently on from the Patch. When I took him the chart and explained that I was a manager and could not afford to go into withdrawal because I give speeches before the board - He advised me that we could not at this point have a good Dr. - patient relationship and he dropped me as a patient. I faxed a letter asking him to explain why he would do such a thing, but he refused to respond. I explained the mess to my PCP (who is a very nice doctor) and he adjusted my Avinza to the correct dosage. That eliminated all my problems. I find the Avinza works better because it doesn't fog my mind like some of the other drugs. Beware though - because they say you should not have to take breakthrough when taking Avinza - that is simply not true. -Jeff wrote: > Your very lucky Avinza has worked for you. Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted to comment on something. I am so amazed by some of your Doctors...They are so knowledgeable about medications. My Doctor is great, he had helped me a lot, always giving me meds when i need them however, he doesn't seem to know a lot about medications. I have asked him several questions about medications he either says " I don't know anything about that drug " or " I know it but do not know the dosage or anything " He is an Orthopod, he works at this clinic once a week. I am not sure what he does his other time, i suppose surgery and rotations. I did look him up on the net and i think he also works at a foot clinic. I don't want to switch doctors right now, well...actually i cannot switch Doctors. This is the Doctor my lawyer uses. Hopefully after i get my settlement i can find another Doctor. I really wish i could get help for my depression...when i asked my doctor if he could prescribe me something, above is what he said, that he didn't know enough about them. I don't know why he couldn't ask the other doctor that works there, whom i also saw in the beginning. This other Doctor is a general practitioner, he would definitely know...i think LOL. Anyway, all your doctors sound pretty nice and know so much about medications. Thanks for you time, === Check out my RAT PHOTOGRAPHY http://public.fotki.com/ratgirl1971/http://public.fotki.com/ratgirl1004/\You haven't been loved till you've been loved by a RAT :)Love rats- Join http://groups.yahoo.com/group/thejoyofkeepingrats/ ORhttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/wonderfulworldofrats/
