Hi friends,

I guess this is just part and parcel in life, but I'm feeling very

frustrated, depressed and alone. There's a lot of anger in the mix too.

It's getting really hard for me to show up at work these days and to

" show up " at home too. The stress is everywhere, and there doesn't seem to

be any end in sight. At least, on the bright side, a week's vacation is coming

next week for Easter break.

I teach special Ed for little ones, ages 3 to 5. We have some very difficult

behaviors in our class and it's taxing on the body and mind. I feel like I'm

beating my head into the wall a lot of the time.

At home I've got a 7th grader who see's me as the enemy and is doing really

poorly in school. We have tried everything but she just doesn't seem to be

able to catch up after letting things get out of hand in the first quarter.

We've got a tutor for her 2 times week, and she's on a homework signed program

too. It's always something.

To top it all off my husband is just back to work after being out for 6

months because of his health (both physical and mental). We are so behind in

bills. I panic because there are many times I don't know how I'm going to put

food

on the table let alone pay bills.

Everything just feels like it's too much. I've always been the one who is

the strong one, and I feel like I'm losing my grip!

Of course this all sends my pain levels off the scale too. Thank God that I

have a great pain team working with me. Unfortunately the new medication they

put me on is not covered by insurance so I had to pay for it. The pharmacy

was only able to fill half the script and that was $160.00. It's Aquic sp? It

seems to work OK but is constipating for me with the other meds I take, and I

can't use it while I work.

Well, that's life in a nutshell! Thanks for letting me go on and on. I

needed it.

That's a plateful Kathleen.

Good thing we only have to take it one day at a time, otherwise it just might be

too

much.

Hope you have a relaxing Easter break. Sleep in and leave the day planner at

school:-)

Take a stool softener and your problems will be solved. I use the Walgreens

brand and they are great. Give it a try.

Don't worry Jen, you'll get smarter as she gets older:-)

My youngest child is 30 years old today. I looked in the mirror this morning

and wondered where on earth the years have gone. I wouldn't mind turning the

clock back to those early teen days. I still miss having a house full of kids.

Our house was drop in central and the noise level used to get pretty high.

Ah the good old days.

Hi Nanna, I don't drink a lot of anything. Guess I should. Guess it would

help oil the old joints. Curious...How old are you? I am 60, woops....almost

wrote 600. That would be a monumental screw up.

Thank you for the advise. I know I do not do the right thing for my body.

Water is good, and I know it but I always reach for that diet coke. I know, I

know it's bad. Guess I am addicted. lol. <Donna>

Hi friends,

Well, I've been gone for 4 days to my daughter's. Still no baby and I don't

understand why they don't just start a pitosin (sp) drip for her.

Poor thing is exhausted from contractions but they just don't stay at 5

minutes apart. They go all over the place. She also got a touch of an

intestinal

bug so I went up to take care of her and my 4 year old granddaughter. She has

another appointment today so maybe we will get this ball rolling.

My insurance company has denied the request for Aiquic (sp). What a pain. I

was hoping not only to get to have the medication because it works but also

so I could be reimbursed for the cost of the ones I picked up. They say my

choice is Norco. I'm already on the patch. I've tried almost everything there

is out there in the last 15 years of dealing with cp, and I've certainly tried

Norco. I find there's no difference with Norco or Lortab which is what I've

been using for many years. I hate playing this game with the insurance

company.

Thank you to everyone who has responded to my post. Almost everything else

is still the same. My daughter, the 12 year old, is home on spring break and

if we don't kill each other it will be a miracle. My husband is still battling

his illness and home from work. As far as the money situation I don't know

what we're going to do. We can't make the house payment or the car payment

right now, and it's already late. I'm not a freaked out about it at the moment

for some reason. I have to believe that there is a plan for us and it's my job

to have faith.

Bless you all,

Kathleen in Calif.

Please don't feel alone. We are all here for you and are praying that all goes

well for you and your family. You wonder why they make a mother suffer giving

birth with all the new drugs they have to keep you comfortable and going. We

can wonder all we want, but sometimes there are no answers. Be patient with

your younger daughter. It's a hell of a world out there and she probably needs

all the understanding she can get.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all the support! I've just returned, again, from my daughter's

and she had a beautiful baby girl on the 14th. She had a very difficult

birth and had to stay in the hospital longer because of loss of blood. They

came

home yesterday and things are going great. Her name is Riley Makenna.

Blessings to all,

Kathleen in Calif.

Congratulations Grandma! Hope the new Mum is feeling better now and that she

and the

baby are both getting some sleep.
