Guest guest
Ivory- So sorry to hear about this, however I AM SCARED out of my pants to start reading UBM- Probably because when I did read SWOE it took me forever, and I started to over anaylzye the whole thing (plus those around me)..... You gotta do what works best for you, that is healthy...Perhaps after son's party and holidays I shall start UBM, but I am terrified...When I feel emotionally strong enough I will read it, until then, I am walking in your shoes... HANG IN THERE =) You have all of us! Not a good time. I knew better, too. One of my top " tells " that I'm not doing very well is reading alot of mental health non-fiction. It has a brainwashing effect on me. I'm sure its a wonderful book, but for me, self-help literature is like cocaine to addicts. Put the book down, Ivory, and back away slowly... I think I'll just keep going along with what I know works for me...a little MH meds to take the edge off, let the crap rise to the surface, write lots of cathartic hate mail, talk to ya'll, read some light-hearted british fiction, ignore my FOO, and let my new life unfold. Guest guest
This sounds so much like me.... I ordered 26 books from Amazon in September. They were mostly mental health, but I did read Wodehouse, too. Lately, I've been spending time in department stores, totally unaware of the passage of time. Not sure if it is dissociation or not?
