One of my uncles is a theology professor and used to offer me books on other religions just so I could learn a little more. However I had to stop borrowing books from him because if his sister, my nada found them she would rip them to shreds. While I went to a Catholic girl's school we had several girls from various parts of the world with different faiths and we had wonderful discussions about the differences and the similarities between different faiths. I have a real problem with intolerance based on ignorance. My nada is very intolerant based totally on her perceptions without knowing a thing! Yeah, see Ping being overly-sensitive. *blush* I love learning about other religions, too. Only skipped the comparative religion class at school because I had way too many other classes to take. It's amazing how easily religion can be used as a tool for BPs. And for others with issues. So many things are done in the name of religion, but are so obviously against the tenets of that religion.
