Hope the 2nd surgery was able to correct and remove as planned. Blessings go with you. Bobbe - <120.5 pounds> from 268.5 at DS 3/12/03. Highest weight 285 in '98 <137> Don't postpone joy. Guest guest
Kristy, I can certainly relate to the pain involved with the stones. I recently had them myself. I had the stent and the lithotripsy done and spent a nice week in the hosp. But, all went well. What I did find that may be helpful to you with the residual pain that seems to pop up every now and then is the suggestion by the urologist to drink 3+ liters of water, with half being a citric acid based drink. Crystal lite works well. By avoiding the high oxalate foods and by drinking more than your kidneys were used too, it should help for the future. I am so very impressed by your progress and the upcoming NYC run. I am sorry that you have had to go through such pain with the stones. You are such a strong woman that I know you'll be bouncing through times square without a care int he world! Ellen W
