Kristy - 4 cm's... that's incredible. Are you applying for Guiness Book

status? Hope the 2nd surgery was able to correct and remove as planned.

I can certainly relate to the pain involved with the stones. I

recently had them myself. I had the stent and the lithotripsy done

and spent a nice week in the hosp. But, all went well. What I did

find that may be helpful to you with the residual pain that seems to

pop up every now and then is the suggestion by the urologist to drink

3+ liters of water, with half being a citric acid based drink.

Crystal lite works well. By avoiding the high oxalate foods and by

drinking more than your kidneys were used too, it should help for the

future. I am so very impressed by your progress and the upcoming NYC

run. I am sorry that you have had to go through such pain with the

stones. You are such a strong woman that I know you'll be bouncing

through times square without a care int he world!
