Guest guest Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Dear Group, Yesterday I got an email from who claimed she had found her trigger and it was " stress " . I can empathize with anyone who thinks stress is their EN trigger. I too noticed a correlation between stress and EN outbraks. But there have been times of extreme stress that did NOT bring on my EN. I think if we are honest with ourselves we will observe that this has happened. We may have just been happy to have " avoided an outbreak " and not even given it a second thought. But I do think of those things, and I am sure many of you do too. And were there not times when EN flared without any noted increase in stress level? I have seen that too. I try to be as scientific as I can be in all research matters, and especially with EN. EN is so much more complicated than many more common disorders. If it were simple it most likely would have already been figured out. Yet here we are not much further advanced than we were 100 years ago. Science has forsaken us. And we have not stepped up to the plate to make ourselves heard. There is now a way to contribute to EN Research specifically. This is something that NEVER existed before. You can all make history. You can make EN research happen by dontating through NORD to the " erythema nodosum research fund " and by using GoodSearch internet search engine specifying " erythema nodousm research fund " as your charity. You may wish to read this link on Fallacies: http://www.ship.edu/~cgboeree/fallacies.html It will help us to think more clearly when we make assertions about our own EN and when we read any scientific study. Wishing Everyone a Happy and Painfree Day! Love, Quote
