Guest guest Posted May 12, 2004 Report Posted May 12, 2004 Hi Ann, Yes, I have tried edamame and I do like them quite a lot. Unfortunately, I react to them as if I was eating vegetables. Hungry half an hour later. It's frustrating to say the least! And I WISH I could eat beans! I love beans. I love pinto beans, garbanzo beans, black beans, any kind of beans! Unfortunately, they give me the worst gas on the planet. It would be so easy to get my protein if I could eat beans. Sigh... I'll keep trying though. Hugs! It usually works for me (although I find it expensive -- Rite Aid used to have a house brand that was inexpensive, but they seem to have discontinued it -- at least locally). Guest guest Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Hi Amber! Yeah, I've tried Beano and it does nothing for me. I sure wish it did! Then again, I haven't tried it for about a year so maybe I should give it another shot. 'Cause I sure would love to be able to eat beans again. I'll try it in a few weeks (when I can afford the stuff) and let you know. Thanks! Hugs! Tracey > have you tried the beano or dose it not work for you . Guest guest Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 Hi Ann, Yeah, I've tried it and it doesn't work for me. But, it was about a year ago so I may try it again. Plus, you're right. It's very expensive and that makes me reluctant to try it again. I'll try it in a couple of weeks and let you know how it goes. Hugs! Tracey > > Hi Tracey! > > Have you tried Beano??? Guest guest Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Hi Ann! Tried the three Beano thing, too. But, I'll give it another try soon. I splurged and had a fresh baked cookie the other day and oh boy, did I pay for it! Yikes! I'm really enjoying my peanut butter. It's definitely helping with the afternoon munchies. I just have to commit myself if I want to get results. I never was a good dieter (what was your first clue - lol!) but I'm giving a good try! I didn't cook my soy chicken bites last weekend so I'm going to do that this weekend for sure and that will definitely give me some yummy protein to snack on. I'm going to go through my recipes and see what else I can find to snack on. I'm motivated! Hugs! Guest guest Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Hi Amber! I haven't tried the drops. Just strikes me as kind of icky. Do the drops have a taste of any kind? If they have any taste at all, even a little, I'll probably gag. If not, I'll give them a try. Thank you! Hugs! Tracey > > have you tried the beano or dose it not work for you . Guest guest Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 they are kind of salty if you put them right in your mouth other wise there is no taste on the food if I am having a salad I just put the drops all over the salad if I am eating nachos I put the drops on my first bite . so you just kind a pick which way works best for you . I think the reason the drops work better for me is they are already broke down. as with the pills I don't think they have time to break down in my stomach before I start digesting the food I have eaten hope this helps some take care amber Re: Tracey Hi Amber! I use Dairy Ease, which is a store brand. I don't use it much, as I am having to avoid milk right now, as even the enzyme wasn't working. I'm sorry it is such a disappointment for you...=0( I hope you find something that works. Hugs and blessings, Ann Quote
Guest guest Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Hi Ann, well so far no luck. I've been using the Beano the anonymous angel mailed to me with all meals that have any carbs, as well as dairy, and it doesn't seem to be making much difference. I'll keep trying it since it certainly can't hurt but I'm disappointed so far. Hugs! Guest guest Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 Hi Amber! I'm happy to say that the Beano has no taste whatsoever. That's the good news. The bad news is it doesn't seem to be helping so far. Oh well. I'll keep trying it and holding out hope that my body may just need some time to process this new chemical. Guest guest Posted June 1, 2004 Report Posted June 1, 2004 Hi Jo! Awe, you're so sweet! Thank you! Don't worry about that foot. I've been thinking the same thing myself. You know, Andy says he never saw the difference between us until he saw our latest picture together. He truly sees the " inner beauty " of people and I am so lucky to have him! I can't wait to see everyone at the support meeting in August! Whoo hoo! Hugs! Tracey > Hey Cutie...Great pics! You and your guy are soooo adorable > together.
