Kim,I was guessing at my past dose because it has been over one year since I've been on any progesterone and I never really understood the dosing. I think I am getting a better idea of how it works now. Anyway...I thought it had been a 5% cream and I told her I felt a little more agitated when I was using it. She said she'd probably feel better starting me on a lower dose like 3%. I don't know how much that was based on my comments and how much was based on her opinion of my labs and symptoms and personal preference and experience with other patients. I decided I should check so I just called the pharmacy where I filled my prescriptions in the past. Interestingly I found one doctor (Owens) had put me on 1% while another doctor (Christensen) had put me on 10%! No wonder my last experience (the 10%) made me not want any progesterone cream. I think that dose was likely WAY too high for me. And I remember she wanted me to use more in the first part of my cycle, which I thought was crazy. So even though I think I have needed progesterone the entire last year, I did not have a doctor I trusted to prescribe anything and haven't been using any. I am really excited to see how much of a difference I notice with the 3% cream this cycle. I have to wait a couple of weeks to get to the point where I will start using it.She also suspects I might benefit from Testosterone and DHEA, but we need to get labs before we can address that. In a way I think it is nice to make one change at a time so it is easy to know what the effect of each change is. (Though it is hard to be patient.) :)Thanks again for posting her name. I don't know if I mentioned it in my last post, but I plan on sending my husband to see her too!Grace

Grace - I forgot.. I'm glad that you liked her too..

Sometimes I don't even want to mention a doctor on here for fear that everyone will pounce on me!

I was hesistant to put her name on here - but I felt that if she could help others then I would be selfish to keep her all to myself!

Glad to hear that so far her views align with yours. Did she say why she decreased your progesterone?

She told me that the progsterone Dr. Owens had me on was too low - it was 1% cream - at least thats too low for trying to have babies..

I am on the DHEA she recommends - OrthoMolecular (I think).. I am also on the

Testosterone.. and it's pretty darn wonderful!

I just made an appt to go in Wednesday to discuss labs - I could have gotten in

Monday if I wanted to go during the middle of the day (2 p.m.) but since she is

like 3 miles from my house, I wanted to catch her on my way home..

I can't wait to hear! I sure feel good enough to start trying for a baby

again.. I hope she will agree!
