Guest guest
Not really sure if it is DS related... but have you thought maybe you had a bit of food poisoning? Elle Near miss trip to the ER....... Last night I had a horrible experience...I had eaten my dinner, (nothing unusual), and was " puttering " around the house. I had previously in the week replaced some plumbing fixtures under the sink, but had some leaks that I could'nt stop, so the cold water and the reverse osmosis system was off. I decided last night to fix it. I spent maybe a half hour lying on my side and reaching into the cupboard to get to the fittings. Finally got it right. A little while later, I started feeling weird...realized that the feeling was the precursor to a vomiting session. I began salivating a lot, and ran into the bathroom. I endured forceful, gut wrenching vomiting so bad I thought my but was coming up too. And then the pain started.
Guest guest
Donna... I kinda agree with Jerry.. sounds ALOT like a kidney stone attack.. having been on your side in an awkward position reaching for plumbing fixtures this could have been just the right thing to kick start a small stone out of place.. just enough to give you a taste of what it's like.. my experience with kidney stones (all 5 of them) coincide with your story.. quick onset of odd feeling.. nausea.. intense gut-wrenching pain.. and finally pain ending quickly (after hours).. i'll tell ya.. I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.. no-sir-ree! But yes.. do call in to the office for safety sake.. Janice

I began salivating a lot, and ran into the bathroom. I endured forceful, gut wrenching vomiting so bad I thought my but was coming up too. And then the pain started. It was in the stomach and abdomen, and was horrible. I layed on my bed curled up in a fetal position, moaning out loud. I finally decided I had better let my mother (who lives with me) know. I didn't want her to find me dead in bed, with my guts exploded all around the room. Of course she panicked, and wanted to get dressed for a trip to the hospital. I was thinking to myself, I'll have to call 911, because there is no way I can drive in this condition. I layed in my room for about another 20 minutes, and all of a sudden the pain stopped....completely. Donna, That actually sounds a lot more like one of my recent kidney stone incudents, but without a CT scan or catching the actual stone, that's pretty difficult to confirm. My attacks usually start with a minor discomfort, vomiting (predominately dry heaves), and then intense pain that makes it nearly impossible to find a comfortable position. So far, these attacks have lasted between two and three hours before the stone was actually passed, but until then the pain was so intense I pitty a woman in labor if that pain is anytning like this. I hope you continue to feel well. Hugs and blessings, Ann
