Guest guest
My apologies to Edith, whom I think I called Esther in last night's post. And thanks again for your gentle encouragement. And Happy Birthday! It was my youngest son's birthday yesterday, too. Hope you enjoyed your birthday as much as we enjoyed his. Guest guest
<<Smiling. The nickname my parents liked to use was " Dummy. " Gosh, now THAT was an ego booster. Our cake situation was sort of a disaster here yesterday. Who knew that if you made a coconut crust, cover if with ice cream and chopped up strawberries and return it to the freezer, that the coconut crust will freeze, as will the strawberries, but the icecream with completely melt? I tried to release the mess from the bunt pan, thinking " surely this must be frozen by now, " and it cascaded onto the counter like a dam bursting. The strawberries resembled little boulders... We had chocolate chips and pineapple in lieu of cake. LOL. Marla

As you can imagine, as the child of a BPD/NPD nada, I've been called much worse. But, like that saying goes, " An Edith by any other name is still an Edith " -- or something like that. *wink* I don't have any of the infirmities of old age, and no BPD/NPDs around to dictate what I can do, so yesterday I ate cake and ice cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It was goood. - Edith
Guest guest
ha ha ha We KOs weren't allowed to make mistakes. I think I would have added some milk, dumped the whole thing in a blender, and everyone could have fun trying to suck it through a straw. *wink* Choices, choices. Being alive is having the freedom to screw up and make choices. - Edith psm568@... wrote: > <<Smiling. > > The nickname my parents liked to use was " Dummy.
