Guest guest
Greetings M I never heard of it either until yesterday. I really do not understant it either. My rheumologist said that I am at risk of a stroke with thick blood. I guess it just gives you less blood(I think) Now I find out I have to have it done every three months. These things just never end. Love, Jim
Guest guest
Hi Jim, As my doctor explained it to me. I have enphysema and the lungs don't enrich the blood with enough oxygen, the lungs are what help to oxygenate the blood. When the lungs don't get enough, the premature blood cells multiply and continue to look for the oxygen. Those premature blood cells thicken the blood by multiplying faster then they should. If they take some of the blood from you, it then decreases the amount of premature blood cells in your body, thus thinning out your blood. I hope this helps to explain the blood letting process and the reason behind it. It's been a long time since I was told about this and hope I've been able to explain it the way I should. Hope you have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Jackie Re: Re: OT!!Good news??? Greetings MI never heard of it either until yesterday.I really do not understant it either.
