Guest guest
My wife's group changes from Benesight to Blue Cross Blue Sheild the first of the year. It is only 126.00 a month for the both of us. We are on the highest tier rate.(with my luck I will fall off) 10.00 generic prescription for three months. 25.00 name brand prescription for three months. I qualified for medicare at age 32. Between primary insurance and medicare as secondary, I only pay for my medications. So far my medical bills have been over 150 thousand dollars. Is all this worth being sick? NO Any kind of insurance is only good if you never use it. Jim
Guest guest
That does bite, , I'm sorry. Especially with such a huge deductible! It's really too bad we can't all be covered like in CA and overseas. Too much capitalism here, or more like, too many too greedy people! I hope venting helped!! Don't stress too badly, we don't want you getting another lump! Get the shins up! M =) > > Dear Group, > You know I rarely complain. And I know this is a situation that many > are probably in too. Guest guest
Dear M, What will help is when Steve and I are old enough to qualify for Medicare. But by then I will not be surprised if there is a means test. Love,
Guest guest
Dear Jim, That is so true, Jim! I imagine Becci's insurance is partly paid for by her employer. Self employed people are amongst the most underinsured in America. Without a group or an employer to help foot the bill, the rates are astronomical. Of course should we get really sick and need expensive treatments, they most likely will try to boot us out of the plan altogether or at least raise the rates even higher :-( Love, __________________________________________________
