Guest guest
Several comical things have happened with my nada that I think you can relate to. Nada has a habit of calling and if no one answers she will hang up. When I call her I say " your phone number is on my recorder, did you call " . Nada denies that she called and I simply say your number is on my caller ID. I very patienty explained about called ID and why and how it is helpful. I did this is a low keyed fashion and with a kind tone. She again denied that she called. Nada also calls and leaves a message and then during a later phone conversation states " I could not get thru " . It is frustrating and I am at a point in my life I just find it amusing. Thanks to everyone here it is so validating to hear everyone's story; I am so much more in tune to what is going on with my nada and my relationship. Take care, mg
Guest guest
Yes, many nadas seem to have a hard time understanding a concept that they haven't experienced. My nada has caller ID, and she knows that I do too. In the past, she has expected that if I see her number, I will call her. And in the past, that is what I did. But I also have an answering machine, and now she is expected to leave a message, which she won't, so consequently I never call her. Yay! Recently she told my sister that she had been trying to reach me several times during the week. I had just finished checking my caller ID, and her number had only come up once. She calls now to talk to my son. But he has a cell phone, and she has HIS number. I think she just calls my house to try to make me feel guilty. I noticed that when she really wants to contact my son, she will call him on his cell phone. Sylvia > Several comical things have happened with my nada that I think you > can relate to. Guest guest
I have a different thing going on with nada phone calls. I do have caller ID and an answering machine. But when my nada does call me she pretendds thta she has been tryong to really get in touch with me for awhile but I never pick up the phone! LOL. Iknow she hasnt called because I have the caller ID! Why would a nada pretend like they have been calling?

She again denied that she called Nada just might have you on her automatic deal or quick dial and she may be hitting it by mistake not know the call is going through and registering on your call ID.
