I made my first batch of kombucha and it tastes flat, no carbonation.

Please advise.

As with anything else, it can take awhile for the KT to get going. Try

again.

Some of mine are flat, some very bubbly. I find that the ones I decant

into soda bottles along with a couple strawberries open like a bottle of

champaigne.

About 6 months ago a bacteriologist wrote in and said that he felt the brew

didn't need that much air, so he capped it and that increased the CO2. Try

it; the brew just needs 10 percent air. What I do is take off the cap once a

day to give it some air and to see how it's doing - the rest of the time it

stays capped.
