I don't think it is a cure from my observation, but it relieves the pressure in your head and clears your lungs so you can breath and stops the drainage so you don't cough and lasts a little over 24 hours, before you have to repeat. I think that swelling in the membranes, things associated with swelling and inflammation will be stopped with the DMSO protocol, cold or flu alike. You would probably have to add other herbs like oregano oil, or non herbs like MMS for the viral or bacterial killing capacity. DMSO just relieves symptoms.
