Guest guest
Tina, I hear you sometimes I have no motivation. But I just push myself, I feel so much better after I get down working out! Its OK for a break, Just rest a few and get right back on track! I haven't been very motivated either, but I have been sticking to my 21DC. My fiancee is gone for 2 weeks, and I miss him a lot, but Taebo has helped me stay busy! Just drop me an e-mail if you ever need any Motivation! Don't even ask yourself whether you feel motivated. Just mindlessly change into your workout clothes and press play. Tell yourself that you can stop after 10 minutes if you don't feel like working out. Then after 10 min., choose whether to continue or stop. I bet once you start moving, you won't want to stop. Either way, you will have done 10 min. of exercise. Try not to let your mind get in the way of your body. You can do this! Elena

Guest guest
> Hi everyone. I have not done any taebo since Thursday. I got up early > this morning to workout and just could not get motivated to push > play. Tina, I'm sorry you are having trouble getting motivated! I hate it when that happens, and unfortunately it happens to most of us at some point in time! What I do in times like that is try not to think too much before I do my workout. I just get up, put the tape in and tell myself I'll only do 5 minutes of the workout! Most of the time I get through that 5 minutes and start feeling great and don't want to stop! There probably will be times, though that after 5 minutes, you still want to stop and at that point I'd stop...because 5 minutes is better than nothing, right? What do you think it is that is causing your lack of motivation? Are you working out a lot? Did you just start? Are you giving yourself enough rest in between workouts? Try to figure out what it is that is causing the lack of motivation and then you can try to combat it! Just recently I went through a lack of motivation and I took two days off...Friday and Saturday. I can't remember the last time I took two days off in a row and boy, it was just what I needed because I woke up on Sunday ready to workout! Hang in there! You are not alone in feeling a loss of motivation! We'll help you try to figure out what the reason is and hopefully we'll be able to find that motivation so you can get back to Tae-Boing

Maybe you need a little break from Tae-Bo? I know I tend to get bored or burnt out quickly, so I have to vary my workouts to keep that from happening. Maybe you should add in a few different forms of exercise to mix things up a bit? A little break may make you appreciate Tae-Bo even more. Guest guest
What a great idea Elena, I am going to use that, 10 min. is better than nothing in my case. I put on some music that I really love (techno/rave music) and was playing the tape at the same time. The beat of the music is what got me going... Guest guest
Hi all. Well I got off my pity party and tried the advanced studio this morning. I never even made it to the floor work, but it did not get me down. Actually it helped my " motivation problem " . Now I have another challenge to complete just like I did with the basic tapes. Boy my muscles could have kept going but I thought my heart was gonna leap out of my chest. Thanks everyone for your encourgment ! Tina P.S. The only other workout I have is sweatin' to the oldies that my mom used to have. I put it on once just to see what it was all about. Not for me at all ! And I will try to put on a Taebo tape even if I am not " ready " to workout. I have the sneak preview of the Basic Live and Advanced live that came with my Advanced Studio tape. I can put that on. Thanks all for the advice. > " Sometimes it helps to put the video on even if you are not ready to workout. > With Taebo playing in the background as you piddle around is a great way to > guilt yourself in to getting in front of the tube. Here we were talking about doing 10 min. of a basic tape to get you motivated and you turn around and 35 min. of an extremely difficult advanced tape! I'm impressed! You learned something about yourself. You respond well to challenges and need new material to stimulate you. Fortunately, there are tons of taebo tapes out there to give you motivation when you need it. Elena
Guest guest
You go girl! It took me three months to even be able to complete the basic workout. Be proud of yourself. One day you will get through the advanced workout and wil be extremely proud of your achievement. If I could do it, you certainly can. I'm not quite sure why, but I always have to push to barely make it through that one. Guest guest
This week for me has been really bad. I do my Taebo everyday, but I have felt bummed out the last 4 days! I need some motivation to keep me on track, even though I have been sticking thru it. I just feel like crap this week. At least these boards have kept me on track and all the good things going on in other people's personal lives! If you are doing the 21 DC...then do an 8 minute tape or practice a move that troubles you for ten minutes and count it as your Taebo for the day! Do you only have the studio tapes (the original tapes that came out)? If you only have those original tapes, I would suggest trying to get some of the Live tapes! I really think that would help keep you motivated! I don't know what I would do if I didn't have such a variety of tapes to choose from! You won't believe what a difference there is between the studio tapes and the Live series! Way to go on attempting the studio advanced workout today! That is so awesome that you made it through all the way up to the floorwork section Awesome job!
Guest guest
I Have the Basic Studio and a Basic Live <<--- Like this one the best and the 8 minute and now the advanced studio. I do like the live the best. Just do not have the money to buy more right now and the advanced studio was the cheapest of all the advanced tapes. It is one thing to workout when it is easy (or relatively easy), but quite another when it is arduous. always says that the latter workouts will show you what you are made of, how tough you really are, ... . You can do this! Think of that wedding you are looking forward to. Try a's suggestion and vary your taebo workout a little. It still counts as taebo even if you do 10 min. Hang in there! Guest guest
Elena, Thanks! I appreciate all the E-mails I get! I have kept up the workouts! I just was having one of those I'm bummed moods. The workouts help with the moods, but I have to admit even thought I do them everyday religiously I still every now and then want to say Nope not tonight. But then I see 's face in my mind, and think how good I love to sweat thru the workout, I just go on and do them, and then feel so much better afterwards! LOL! Thanks for you E-mail! I'm a fan of all of you on the boards! Smiles, Lacey
