Guest guest
Courage, Hang in there girl. You and your family are definately in my prayers. You have way more on you than anyone deserves but you will make it. You are a survivor! You have proven that. Take care and know that all of us are holding you up in our thoughts and prayers. Donna P. > Hi All, > > Thank you all so much for keeping in your prayers. She has an appt. with the doctors at 11:30 Monday morning. Needless to say, I am very worried for her and the baby. has been ordered to do nothing more strenuous than bed rest with some walking to keep the blood flowing. She called me last night to tell me that she felt so guilty for having such a problem pregnancy and I told her that it wasn't her fault that this is happening - some have it easier than others and for what ever reason she isn't having a good time of it. > I've been doing some major reading on lung clots and the information scared the heck out of me. has almost all of the symptoms! The X-rays that are used to dx this aren't very reliable and she may have to have dye injected into her which is very harmful to the baby perhaps causing a miscariage and further stress to her heart/lungs. Even if this X-ray comes out OK she will need to be monitored constantly for the rest of her pregnancy and beyond. In fact, most of the literature talks about saving the mother's life and does not have a good prognosis for the child. If does have a blood clot(S) in her lungs then she will have to take a blood thinner called Herapin - again very dangerous for her and baby. She riskes having an embolism - she and her baby can start to bleed out and die within 1-2 hours. I am terrified!!!!!! Before this I had no idea that this could even happen to pregnant women! > > No mother should have to have a conversation with their daughter discussing who should live or die should something go wrong. For the record I have asked to take all measures to ensure she lives. While I really like the idea or being a grandmother I love my daugther beyond all things and could not bare to lose her. I am so scared for her. Poor thing is trying to relax but you can imagine how stressful this can be for anyone let alone a young woman who is just starting her family. Her husband is being very support but I'm not surprised her as he has always taken pains to care for her and keep her happy. > Please everyone, keep and her baby in your thoughts tomorrow morning. I will let you all know the second I hear anything. > The trip to emergency happened early Friday morning and that same evening my dad got into a 3 car car crash. He was rear ended by a truck and it forced his car ahead which then forced him to crash into the car ahead of him. Dad was a wreck! He shook so bad and could barely say a word for the rest of the night. And yes, dad is getting loopier and loopier with every day that passes. My sister and I are going to do the paper work to see if he can get into the same home as mom but he will fight us every step of the way - I feel sorry for the Nurses and NA that will be taking care of him. > I don't know what the heck is happening to our family but it seems that one major stress after another is happening. In fact, the only one who is holding steady is mom who has LBD. I just thank God that mom does not know about anything that is happening as she was a tremendous worrier and all our bad luck (?) would send her over the edge. > Because so many bad things are happening so quickly I haven't been able to digest it all or give everything the time it deserves. I'm just coasting here and trying not to panic until someone tells me its time to panic. As a result, I am mentally exhausted. All other problems will have to wait until is taken care of. > Am I rambling or what!!!!!!!! Sorry for the lost post and thanks again to all. > Courage > > > Please follow this link to learn more about Lewy Body Dementia > http://www.lewybodydementia.org > > >
