One thing Jaimye you should look in to is the antibacterial effects of honey.

Some say honey should be boiled befor brewing kombucha. Others don't bother. But

as a beekeeper, I'm worried honey could damage the mothers natural balance

yeast/bacteria in time.

Hello and Jaimye. ORMUS is a variation of ORME, or orbitally

rearranged monoatomic element, also known as the elements of life - generally

referring to " silver, iridium, gold, rhodium, osmium, ruthenium, platinum,

mercury and/or palladium " elements in their basic single atom state. The term

ORMUS is used by many manufacturers to identify the three states (Ionic, ORME, &

Colloidal) that cannot be identified by laboratories using conventional

techniques (according to my Internet source, generally in reference to silver

and copper solutions).

Anyway, I'm using a water filter that concentrates existing ORME in my source

water for my Kombucha tea. Since I'm new to using Kombucha, I cannot give you a

definitive answer on the difference from distilled or other waters people may

use. Since my filter cleans the water so well, I'm only boiling enough to steep

my tea, then adding the hot tea to my brewing jar with the rest of the water.

After about 30 minutes I'll add my SCOBY(s) to the jar, giving the extra time to

be sure it's cool and mixed up well. Of course my starter tea is already in the

jar with an extra cup on top of the SCOBY after I put them in the jar.

I thank Ms. Marilyn for my original SCOBY and her recipe for the tea. It's

working very well.

Dom (kefir lists) regularly makes KT with raw honey and there's been no

problem.

Oh this is so great! What is ORMUS?

ORMUS is everywhere. It's in the air you breathe, it's in the water

you drink, the foods you eat. It's a mysterious substance to those

who do not know how to concentrate it.

Anyone who likes to learn more about it can go to

www.subtleenergies.com to learn the basics. The recipe to make it etc

is also included.

It's a wonderous substance found in all things healthy. Some even

attribute the degree of healthfulness of foods/supplements DIRECTLY to

the degree of the presence of the ORMUS within.

Hi .

Cool to hear that you are using a filter(trap device I assume?)

I dont have the use for another trap personally, but i'm sure others

would love to hear it. Unfortunately you need to have a good filter

system to get rid of the things that come in the tap first before it

hits the trap. Traps dont get rid of all the chlorine for sure. As

far as I know it has a tendency to concentrate the fluoride present in

treated water.

I have a 5 stage filtration system manufactured by alpine that even

whirls the water in a natural vortex for me while killing and

filtering and all that good stuff. That's the water I used for the KT.

Our Water is treated well water here. Still has the additives, but it

comes from the ground so there's a natural concentration of ORMUS.

Bottled water is practically devoid of ORMUS through processing.

If you could, , keep track of anything you notice and post it

here! By the way: How many batches did you make so far?

So you keep some bees? How's the honey out there? I'm always looking

for the bare raw stuff. Let me know if you like to send some my way eh!

As far as I know, honey is the most healthful when it's not processed

with heat. According to many sources, pure uncooked raw honey has a

low glycemic index which means it has much less effect on the blood

sugar levels than even pasteurized or heat-treated " raw " honey!

I don't use white sugar at all. It makes me sick to look at it.

Surprisingly, the candy aisle smells worse to me than the detergents

aisle.

As for heating it first, I'm not sure but I think it's good enough to

add the honey while it's steaming still.

99% chance any contamination in the KT will not be from the

ingredients used.

By the way: where are you located?

Ahh I see what you're saying now. You're concerned it may damage the

mother because it's a natural antibiotic/antibacterial.

That is a very good point Bengt. From my knowledge of bacteria, it's

the anaerobic(non-oxygen breathing) bacteria that are harmful.

Aerobic bacteria on the other hand are the beneficial bacteria.

With my favorite antibiotic Colloidal silver, I know for a fact that

it's not harmful to oxygen breathing cells. Those are the ones I care

about. The byproducts(as far as I know) from anaerobic bacteria are

nothing but harmful.

But, then again anyone is free to correct me if i'm wrong.

I think the key is to always have an control for any variations. Sad

is the scientist who killed the control and years later found the best

was lost long ago.

Raw honey still has the enzymes within it that allow our bodies to

digest it. With the heat extracted honey we have to supply the enzymes

to digest it.

Heat treated raw honey isn't raw after its been heated. 8)

You may wish to do your own research on that subject.

From my perspective, I have direct experience with it. I have held

it. I have ingested different forms of it. I have meditated with it.

I gave it to my girl when I went to visit her. I made it from local

sea salt(sundried filipino sea salt) and made something that would

blast you into orbit.

Read the website and make your own judgement. It may change your life

as it did mine.

I personally don't mess with the numbers - they are absolutes not pseudoscience

unless one is of closed mind and ignores the possibilities of probability.

make no mistake ormus exists and it will exist in my kitchen in about a week

for i love to keep pets i can eat :) just feed them - watch them grow - and

feed off them as needed for complete fulfillment............longevically

speaking! man cannot live on kombucha alone! So, to harness the power and ride

for all it's worth, or not, is a choice!

Well how about if I make it ON topic.

The position of the planets in relation to ours has always been a

complete science. What the problems is, is ignorance on the part of

the " informer "

The fact that the alignment of external magnetic fields in

relationship to our planet's magnetic field will affect every

fermented process, just like it does any other electrochemical

breakdown process. This has an affect on every human being.

Ancient alchemists knew this. Thus, most every wall enjoys the most

basic tool of all the alchemists since the beginnings of religion:

The calendar.

Just as your brain chemistry is affected by the " full moon " so is

everything else on this planet. Call it what you want, it's astrology.

Try something: On the next full moon, allow you kombucha brew to bask

in the moonlight. Try it the next morning. You'll see what I mean.

That little kombucha may even be a product created with the use of

astrology by the ancients, according to some of my reading.

How freaked out do you think some fundamentalists or pentecosts would

get if they found out their kombucha might be from da DEBO!

Oh that's the beauty of it, you can eat it.

of ormus are the best materials for ferments.

There's a good discussion of ORMUS or ORME in ce Gardner's " Lost Secrets

of the Sacred Ark " with a good discussion of Hudson's discovery on his

land in Arizona - a quite interesting story. The book is excellent as a

historical reference concerning ORME (or Philosopher's Stone, Manna, Bread of

the Gods, etc.).

Check it out.

My KT is quite good with my ORME'd water.
