Guest guest Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 I just wanted to put this out as it was a great help to me. So as not to interfere with the groups main theme please email me personally if you want to talk about it. I have made a tremendous leap in progress with my chronic insomnia. Not only is it chronic but completely unpredictable in how it manifests itself. Premature drowsiness, waking up numerous times during the night or the inability to fall asleep at all, etc. I have been wearing an interesting device similar in idea to the Qlink but I believe [still studying it though] that this product is actually better. It's called a QE pendant and I've had it on since November or December of last year. If you're interested, I'd be more than happy to discuss the purchase of and experience in research about the product and it's seller. If you've tried everything from ornithine, calcium and magnesium and Valerian to Different types of pillows and sounds of the fill-in-the-blank cds to fall asleep-you're obviously not alone. -Lance Quote
Guest guest Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Hi Lance, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have recently started using a Q-Ray bracelet which I found it pretty good in start, however recently I started having sleep disorders again! I don't mind trying something better/stronger! I am a transportation/civil engineer spending most of my day in a stressful/demanding and high EMF/air pollution environment. So I can use all sort of help to be abale to maintain my health and survive!! I have also heard about neodynamic magnets being very useful as well, however, I'm not so sure how to use them and how they work!! Thanks, Tara --- Ekowal459@... wrote: --------------------------------- I just wanted to put this out as it was a great help to me. Guest guest Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 Actually I just got an email from another member who said that they own the exact same pendant and it didn't help with their insomnia. The reason why I got the pendant was because something really caught my attention in a book. I've been doing a long candida cleanse from lifeforceplan.com partly for insomnia troubles and partly for skin problems, etc. Anyway before I started the cleanse I was reading the book about it and the author had something in the book about not having enough energy to go too sleep. As if you need energy to go to sleep and when you are exhausted-you can't sleep well. It went in to much more detail but let's just say that it all felt familiar. He mentioned that some people can have a cup of coffee and instead of waking them up-they go to sleep. I've done that! So as I am always on the look out for natural remedies not involving doctors and constantly researching and trying things an idea among many hit me while searching. I was talking to Fred Van Liew of the ewater.com company. He sells these devices/appliances/filters that purify water and air and supposedly neutralize electromagnetic chaos or man made electromagnetic frequencies. I spoke to him and to the Clarus company who produces something they claim to be similar called the Qlink. I talked to ewater's customer service people at great length more than once and even to the head of the company Mr. Van Liew more than once as well. He is very accessible via email and phone. He has a direct line to him-no middlemen. Anyway I'd read so much about EMFs which were man made and very damaging to our own frequencies or the earth's frequencies being able to naturally influence our own system. If this sounds nuts I assure you there's a science to it. Not one I completely understand but the company has a six month money back guarantee. The device I wear is the best one they sold although I was very skeptical at first. It is shaped like a triangle. Triangles and pyramids seem to be the international symbol for kooky hippydippy new age stuff that gives sensible alternative medicine a bad name if you ask me. So I was really skeptical I guess. But I paid the expensive price figuring I had nothing to lose. I recall about $200 including shipping and handling and it took a few weeks to get one in hand. I felt nothing different at all at first. I've been able to sleep when I want barring any chronic pain I have from other ailments within about fifteen minutes of laying down. Speaking with Mr. Van Liew I even mentioned that was part of the reason I wanted the thing [Good idea I think even for healthy people to have a device like this] and he told me straight out that it tends to give you energy and didn't think it would necessarily help me sleep. I understood this but real energy-not caffeine induced energy-is what I wanted. Having used it I believe that all these years I've had sleeping trouble largely been based off of exhaustion. My nerves being fried all the time by unseen energy dragging me down. This statement about giving me energy only made me want to try the device even more. Am I totally cured? No. I'm still a night person and would rather be awake at night when possible but I can choose not to be. I do find that I can't stay down a full eight hours but where as I used to try and fall asleep at a decent hour like ten or eleven it always went badly. I'd be up at one o'clock and still very tired and awake until four, five, six. Then I'd try to nap til work or school [this problem goes back to childhood]. Now I can stay down from about ten until four or five if I want to or have to. Huge improvement in my life. I am more rested by that sleep now also. Partly I think just by being asleep during the important ten to two time. This obviously isn't the cure for everybody but I'm still moving forward in this doing this candida cleanse. Sleeping troubles not totally cured but I've also thought that toxic overload could be ''frying my nerves'' to and continue to work on strategies for that as well. I'm just over three weeks into my Candida Cleanse. If that ends up elimination the remaining sleeping difficulty I have, I'll post it. Hope this helps. I've done other things to help the toxic burden that I probably have according to my research. I've conducted three liver/gallbladder flushes to date and seem to be stoneless. I use a dryskin brush almost everyday. I use a shower filter also from the ewater.com company. I switched from regular table salt to sea salt and no longer use any hydrogenated oils, almost no homogenized dairy and drink only Reverse Osmosis water and never use anything with fake sugar. There are other things I have been waiting to try but I like to keep them all straight so I know what is and isn't working. Good luck. ''Lance'' P.S. I just copied this letter that I replied to other folks with. It's obvious you know what EMFs are and probably grasp them much better than I do. I just wanted to remark on that so you don't think I didn't read your reply. Also I have heard about these magnetic rings made out of neodymium as well. I have a pair. I think that's what you mean but I'm not sure. If it is- Chiu.com is the place to look. He invented them. He is also wickedly eccentric and his site is possibly the most bizarre site on the planet except for the vulgar ones. Anyway he sells rings and toe braces and the testimonials are incredible if true. A lot of people say that they at first find sleeping to be impossible with the products on either for lack of comfort or worry or a surge in energy. I found no surge of energy but I did worry about them. The magnets are really strong for their size and kept coming out of the plastic rings even though they seemed to be well glued at first. I no longer use them and they aren't supposed to be used with any other magnetic product or my pendant now because it has a resonating magnet. I gave it about two weeks overall because of this problem. Though they have this insane name of The immortality device on the Chiu [A noted scientist and inventor/patent holder] website, they have a 28,000 gauss if I'm not mistaken and there might really be something to them. I talked to a woman from another company who distributes them vitalshops.com and other products that Trudeau recommends although not by brand name. She told me some interesting things and seemed sincere. Who knows but the people who soldier through getting used to the rings whether for one reason or another say that afterwards their sleep ''counts'' much more and energizes them a great deal among other claims much bigger, like disappearing cataracts. Hey, Kombucha people talking about hair color changing sounds hard to believe too, but some of these people think they really will never die of natural causes if wearing these things! So, based off of my experience with them I cannot strongly endorse nor put down this product. I didn't give it much of a chance on myself but now I've apoxyed the doggone things back into place hoping they stay and began having my diabetic mother use them every night testing the claim that it clears up the circulatory difficulty someone with sugar has. If you try either device, let me know okay? I'd be interested to hear someone else's experience with them. Quote

So, this reply can stand for everybody I guess. Imagine my surprise when my name showed up in my mail box. I win the village idiot award. Sorry about that. Quote

Guest guest Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I've had severe chronic insomnia which I am happy to say is now only occasional. For me melatonin worked, at 5mg 2-stage release, 45 mins before laying down. But I don't do the melatonin anymore. Since starting with KT, I have been sleeping really well most of the time. Mine is also stress related, so sometimes when things get extra extra bad I have to learn how to manage it again. But what's happening is that I'm getting a handle on how to handle stress, and it's been extraordinary stresses that trouble my sleep now. It appears that once I learn how to handle that level, then it would take an even larger stress to trouble me. or so it appears. So I want to reiterate. KT has fed my body with what it needs and I no longer require anything more to sleep, except on rare occasions. Though I still have a way to go, the levels of healing I've experienced since brewing KT (I drink about a quart a day) have been wide and deep. That's why I'm a believer. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Muste Quote

Guest guest Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 L-Theanine (a free form amino acid) can be purchased at most health food stores etc. Has helped folks when nothing else would. It actually has a blunting effect on caffeine, that is to say that if you consume caffeine daily (there is a healthy dose of caffeine in kombucha by the way.) *Green* tea has theanine and caffeine, that is why it can be relaxing to drink it. Worth a shot..Proper daily amounts of zinc (in the correct bio-available forms) and B vitamins are also important for good sleep. mentioned Melatonin, this is also an antioxidant. Insomnia can be caused by such a huge range of factors, such as eating heavy foods too late in the evening, stress, etc. There are several neurochemicals that effect sleep and are greatly influenced by diet and daily environment. Tyrosine from meat and dairy is important for a relaxed body and mind. Deep breathing can do the trick for lots of folks, it helps to slow a racing mind and a hearty blood/oxygen concentration does wonders for feeling cozy. (That's why they pump pure O2 into casinos. No Joke.) Turning off lights and noise, a couple hours before you would like to retire, is another angle. (The body responds chemically to light and dark) Aerobic exercise, does wonders for the feel good/sleepy parts of the brain. Some even say staying up for 24 hours to " reset " can help, but that is suggested more for depression than insomnia. Just some random bits I've picked up in my information highway travels. Not to be a punk, but I would take some over the counter sleep aid, before I would pay $200 for a necklace that is alleged to help in this area..but I don't know anything about it so please don't take offense. Guest guest Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Many thanks again for sharing your thoughts! I wasn't so sure about wearing magnitic things together may cause a problem! I am wearing a Q-Ray bracelet plus an earth calm pendant! May be that's why I am not feeling much lately. It was realy awsome in the begining! Do you know if I start wearing only one it will work again or when the magnetic field is gone their is no way to retrieve it?! There are many pendants out there, it's good to know which one works best. Now with this neodynamic rings I am more confused as which one works best! I checked the sites you mentioned and found them very interesting! $40-$50 is definitely a very good price to buy immortality!!! the price is far cheaper then QE-pendants! How about the home units,I am wondering how they work? it's good to protect your house, specially when you have a little baby! exciting stuff! Cheers, Tara P.S. I was wondering if you have any amalgams in your mouth, as those black fillings can pose a serious damage to your health! --- Ekowal459@... wrote: --------------------------------- Actually I just got an email from another member who said that they own the exact same pendant and it didn't help with their insomnia. Quote
Guest guest Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 I certainly never suggested using coffee, only that I'd had a history of the effect that Dr. McCombs talked about. As a matter of fact I said I'd rather have real energy than caffeine induced energy. In regards to hoping no one really thinks they'll be immortal with those rings-I wish they didn't either but I seriously believe a lot of them do. Also about the home units for the emf protection- That's all a matter of how many people you have in the house, and how big your house is and how much time you are all there, etc. It's much more expensive than a single unit. May I add that shelling out two hundred dollars for a sleep aid is not really what you are doing anyway. This is a total health aid- the owner of the company doesn't even endorse it as a sleep aid. I'm just relaying my personal experience with it. It's far more complicated and valuable than that if you assume it is correct science. I don't know that it is but due to the effects I've felt with it-I'm much more inclined to believe that it is. Also you are not necessarily supposed to sense any affect. Since you don't generally consciously feel the effect of the Electromagnetic chaos that it is meant to neutralize...you probably won't consciously register the effect of the neutralizer. It makes sense to me. I may be completely misguided of course. PS I can't believe so many people weighed in on this one. Lance. Quote
Guest guest Posted February 7, 2006 Report Posted February 7, 2006 Hi V, As KT helps us eliminate the crap from our bodies this is one stress that no longer a problem 8). Imagine trying to deal with the bigger stresser that appear if you'd not managed to deal with the smaller one's in the first place - but then again that's not a good place to go even in our imaginations 8). I went to a seminar on sleep and that helped no end with my insomnia. If I can't go to sleep now it simply doesn't matter to me. _Part_ of the reason that insomnia is a problem for many is because its stressful. We freak out that we are still awake. Nothing wrong with resting the body in bed and _*not*_ reading a book or listening to music. The body is resting and that's a large _part_ of the problem solved. We cycle every hour to hour and a half. For about 10 minutes in (for eg) every hour it will be easier to fall asleep than at any other part of that cycle. That's why actually doing something like reading can keep us awake - we ignore the cue to go to sleep. TTFN Sue (au).
