....I do not work. I take my dosage of MTX on Wednesdays. My advice to you would probably to take them on Friday. As you will have time to rest and sleep. They make me extra tired for about 2 two days after taking my dose. Good Luck!

So I saw the rheumy today and he said he thinks the swelling is the

typical arthritis thing (though Caroline has provided some other

useful info). Not sure about the acne, but honestly, it's so sparse

that I'm not concerned. I'd rather feel better like I do than worry

about acne. (I am not on steriods).

He wants to add MTX into the regimen which currently only consists

of Enbrel for Stills (other drugs for other things). He is also

prescribing prescription strength folic acid to combat the side

effects. He had his whole spill down on the history of MTX as a

chemo drug and in arthritis.

My question to you MTX users...what day of week do you think is best

to take it? I work a M-F job, so I would like to combat any side

effects on the weekends if possible.

Do you space out the MTX from your BRM shots at all?

And any other useful info you have to give as a user that I won't

find on the prescribing pamphlet would be great!

Thanks,

, I work M-F and I take my MTX on Saturday night. I like to spend time with my family and I'm not willing to feel lousy every Saturday so I take it Saturday night. This way I can enjoy my Saturday and taking it at night helps with the nausea. I guess I sleep through the worst of the symptoms and Sunday I am usually just extremely tired. Good Luck!

Peggy,

Are you just tired for one day or does it carryover into Monday?

I'm like you, I don't know that I'm willing to give up all my free

time to being tired. I can finally do stuff!

,

I just finished my 4th month on the MTX. The first few weeks I'd say the

tired feeling did carry over a bit into Monday, but after those first weeks

it's really only been Sunday. In fact, the last couple weeks Sunday hasn't

been too bad. I'm hoping the pattern continues and my Sundays keep

improving. Good luck with your decision.
