Guest guest
Hi All, My sister and I have decided to take mom out of the Maynard Nursing Home. What an awful place. Our experience there has not been good and we hope to have mom transfered to another home by the end of the week. Mom is now 83 on the list for our first choice LTC facility so we're hoping that this new place will be good enough to keep her there till we get the call for the place we want. I can't tell you how exhausted I am. I'm there all afternoon and evening. Yesterday I asked them for a diaper to change my mom and they said they'd do it (a first). They came back to with " I didn't change your mom's diaper because it's not we enough yet " ...What!!!!!!!!!! I feel so much better that she's getting out of there. Mom has been such a trooper about it all. I don't dare leave her there alone. Guest guest
Hi Abby, I'm not sure about that but they did say that we could take mom home and she would still be on the list. Thankfully the new place became availabe today. Courage
Guest guest
Thanks Patti, consider them reported. I'm not sure when the senior advocacy group will do the surpise visit - they probably won't tell us but they said they'd do it. I'll ask my sister to follow up.
