I'm in Pomona, California (about 40 miles east of LA), but I get

homesick for DC (lived there 1990-1993) when I read posts here from

people who live there. By the way, I'll be there June 2-6 for a

visit. That's too early for steamed crabs, right?

I live in Lexington Park, MD (about 75 miles SE of

Washington, DC). , they sell crabs here on the

side of the road during the season. I don't remember

if they are out there in the beginning of June or not.

I'll let you know when I start seeing them.

He got out in 98. I liked the area.. (yay potomac mills) but I didn't like

the traffic and the rudeness there. LOL.

Bless you!!! I think alot of people think I am crazy for always complaining

about how rude people are here!!!! Most of my neighbors quickly shut their

door before you can even say hi to them! In Texas we would come outside to

talk to people, get their paper when they were out of town, and welcome to

the neighborhood and sent Christmas cookies etc. etc. Nothing like that here

at all!!!! And it can't be just the fact that I live in a transitional area.

In Austin everyone is a student or riding the hi tech wave. Plus all the

litter is just gross. We will be moving very, very soon and I am excited. I

was afraid that If I stayed here any longer I would adopt the same type of

attitude.

Who is so proud of her husband because last weekend at a state park it was

his idea to pick up litter for a few minutes :-)
