Guest guest
Hi Steve, I used to love alcohol, but I can't drink it anymore. Please be careful when consuming alcohol if you are taking MTX or even Pred, and pain meds. I had a horrible drug interaction when I first was diagnosed with SD and developed an acute pancreatitis as a result. Alcohol was not a factor at the time. I was told to never drink again. I did make the mistake of taking a few drinks and ended up in the hospital with another bout of pancreatitis. In all, I've had 13 major pancreatic attacks and have chronic pancreatitis now. The pain is worse than any joint pain there is and even worse than having a baby! Yes, we have to let our hair down, but if you are on meds, please watch your alcohol consumption. It could cost you your life. Much love, Terry

Guest guest
Okay, sorry to feel as though I need to say something here. Drugs don't carry the message 'do not take with alcohol' for nothing. The drugs we take already ask a lot of our internal organs. Alcohol on top of it asks even more of our internal organs. I recall a lot of people coming into the hospital with pancreatitis. Terry is right, it's an excruciatingly painful inflammation. I'll get off my bandwagon here because I come from a family of alcoholics, some who have died due to alcohol. Unlike the others, I cleaned up the mess behind my family.
