I don't know if you've have your ultrasound yet, but has any doc ever mentioned the possibility of an ovarian cyst? I used to get fluid-filled ones all the time and a few times had unbelievable pain from them. One doc told me if the cyst gets large enough, it can press on the bladder and cause pain. The fluid-filled cysts are generally nothing serious, and often clear up on their own as mine always did. Thought I'd mention it just in case..... Also want to say THANKS for the work on the Stills web site. Am so happy to have Sierra Trading Post on there, and have used the Ebay link several times already! Will give me a good excuse to do some online shopping :-) Trish in PA bladder pain again Well Sunday night I finished my 4th round of antibiotics in 2 months, I had no pain for a week, then yesterday I started having the same pain just like a uti, got an appointment for today, but the pain woke me at 6am and it was unbelievable, this pain is much worse than an normal uti that I have had in the past, darvocet didnt even touch the pain, I took bentyl which is a smooth muscle relaxer and it eased the pain. Doctor made me an appt to get a pelvic ultrasound and Im seeing a urologist next tuesday. Last week's tests were negative again for any bacteria so he's not sure what is going on, but said that normally bentyl wouldn't work for a uti unless I was having bladder contractions which is probably caused by something else maybe a bladder stone, hopefully I will get some answers now. I am taking penicilian now as I cant take any chances that it may possible be an infection there just not detectable I dont want it spreading to my hip. I did read that if mycoplasmas are there and causing an infection that they are unlikely to show up in a culture, so maybe that's it why my cultures dont grow anything, or anything that their lab can detect. I have felt so bad today, just wiped out from not much sleep to waiting 3 hours just to see the doc and get a perscription filled.
