Guest guest
, I have the second to cheapest plan: $14.75/month. When I signed up, they didn’t charge for appointments over a limit, but the 400 included at this level are enough for me. Once you decide you like it, you can pre-pay a year and get 3 months free. I like it! Look at the site that comes up on the link from my website: https://www.appointmentquest.com/provider/2060088933 You can play with it and see what a patient would see. Guest guest
Agree, appointment quest isn't really that hard. They bill my AMEX card monthly for about $20; I can set up 2 sites this way (I work in my main office and another office subletting from Podiatrist Wed AM and all day Friday. I don't use the pt making the appt part, but if I had no staff, I'd do that for sure! Be sure to put pt's email in, as the system will remind them of appt automatically (may be the "second tear" service though). Also consider an email portal type service (I use RelayHealth for about $270 for the year just for the email portal; I don't use the eprescribing, which would cost about $50/month more). Good luck and keep brainstorming here! Matt in Western PA Solo lite with 1.5 FTE staff equivalent [Practiceimprovemen t1] Appt Quest Is this as expensive as it looks!!!!!?? ?? Guest guest
: As you set up Appt Quest, it is helpful to have their user guide. I kept using their online help (no help at all) or emailing them (they are very detailed in their responses) until they directed me to the user guide. It is linked on their account set up page near the bottom. Here it is as well: http://www.appointmentquest.com/rs/AccountSetupGuide.pdf My patients rave about AQ- almost 100% love it. Last Sunday, five patients scheduled themselves for the upcoming week. I did not look to see if Sharon's question is answered there. Guest guest
I was looking at AQ today. If your practice is closed to new patients, is there a way to assign a code or give existing patients a password so that only established patients with the code / password can make appointments? From what I see, a new patient can request / make an appointment, but then the practice has to go thru the effort of "denying" the request. Guest guest
Sharon: Per the user guide, what you want is not possible with AQ. Personnel work hours must always be within the business hours you have set up. I do what Lynn does and use my Amazing Charts schedule as my final schedule and my add-ons only show up on the AC schedule, not the AQ schedule. It does look like I work long hours doesn’t it? Actually, it is set like that so that I can add in patientsoutside of regular hours when I want to; patients can only book from 9-2:30…… Sharon From: Practiceimprovement 1yahoogroups (DOT) com[mailto:Practiceimp rovement1@ yahoogroups. com] On Behalf Of nancy blakeSent: Tuesday, February 03, 2009 1:03 PMTo: Practiceimprovement 1yahoogroups (DOT) comSubject: Re: [Practiceimprovemen t1] Appt Quest OK, Sharon, I wanna know how on earth do you work from 7 amto 10 pm?!?! Guest guest
You have your office hours set up, but each person providing a service has there own Availability schedule. So, lets say you are solo with 1 assistant. Thanksgiving day is a paid holiday, but the day after isnt. You are taking it off, but your assistant will not and will be there to answer the phone, take messages, maybe do some shredding or scanning in some stuff that's backlogged. whatever. So, your office schedule says that you are open, but when someone tries to schedule an appointment for that day there will be no availability because YOU are listed as not available. You can set up your availability on the setup screen, accessible by clicking on the link at the bottom of the left side of the screen once you log in. Guest guest
Yeah, this is true too. You can define each type of appointment with its own schedule. So if you want to limit the # of physicals you do per day, or have them only at a certain time, you set the Physical schedule that way. If you look at ours, you wil notice the difference in the schedules for Preventive visits and Sick visits. If your practice is closed to new patients, is there a way to assign a code or give existing patients a password so that only established patients with the code / password can make appointments? From what I see, a new patient can request / make an appointment, but then the practice has to go thru the effort of "denying" the request. Guest guest
Special powers? Don't I wish!! Didn't you know, I'm Batman, not Superman! It's all about having the right tools (toys?) and not the super powers.OK, so I went and ran through the ApptQuest " Setup Center " and I think I see the problem. We are discussing the list of hours posted on your front page when patients are booking themselves. That is not the same as the actual hours you make appts for.To change that page, go to " Setup Center, " then go to " Operations " and the " business hours " tab. Editing those makes the hours posted on the front page change, but it does not change the hours you actually make appts. To change the hours you actually see patients, you have to got the " Setup Center " then the " Schedule Summary. " Then you have whatever number of schedules to play with. I have four and personally can book in any of them at any time on any day. That includes " other family medicine " which allows me to book folks after hours and on weekends. The " Malia, MD " schedule is accessible to my patients but only for the limited hours I have set for it from Monday to Friday. To allow the patients access to that, I can go to the related " Edit " tab for that schedule and then press the icons for " allow " for " external " access. The other three schedules only allow " internal " access and get the big " NO " for external access.I think the issue is the fact that the term " business hours " is being used in different ways to mean different things, and we are considering both the posted hours on that front page (ie you working 15 hrs a day) vs the " business hours " you actually schedule patients.Somehow, I hope that helps, and I hope I didn't misstate the info.Good luck,TimOn Wed, February 4, 2009 1:35 pm EST, Sharon wrote: Thanks. The AQ support sent some confusing message, butbasically it seems it can’t be done without Tim’s intermittent special powers. Guest guest
Tim, Thanks for taking the time to go through this. I must still be missing something. Anyway, I just went to your appointmentquest page and your business hours are “regular.â€Â Yet, you can schedule outside of these for your other schedules? When I change my business hours, (such as being closed on Sat. and Sun.), it stops me from being able to schedule those times on my ad-hoc schedule. I guess it is a precaution so that you don’t have people showing up when you are closed, but in my case (and yours) sometimes it would be helpful. Sorry to beat this into the ground, but I may argue that you do have special powers. I'm always the last to know!Anyway, I think I know what the issue is now. I have the Silver PRO version.... $410/yr after the percentage off paying a full year at a time. That allows for " personalization " so I wonder if my setup options are different from yours. So, alas, no special powers, just a different level of service.Tim Tim, Thanks for taking the time to go through this. I must still bemissing something. Anyway, I just went to your appointmentquest page and yourbusiness hours are “regular.â€Â Yet, you can schedule outside of these for yourother schedules? When I change my business hours, (such as being closed on Sat.and Sun.), it stops me from being able to schedule those times on my ad-hocschedule. I guess it is a precaution so that you don’t have people showing upwhen you are closed, but in my case (and yours) sometimes it would be helpful. Sorry to beat this into the ground, but I may argue that you dohave special powers. Didn't you know, I'm Batman, not Superman! It's all about having theright tools (toys?) and not the super powers.OK, so I went and ran through the ApptQuest " Setup Center " and Ithink I see the problem. We are discussing the list of hours posted on your front page when patients arebooking themselves. That is not the same as the actual hours you makeappts for.To change that page, go to " Setup Center, " then go to " Operations " and the " business hours " tab. Editing thosemakes the hours posted on the front page change, but it does not change thehours you actually make appts. To change the hours you actually see patients, you have to got the " SetupCenter " then the " Schedule Summary. " Then you havewhatever number of schedules to play with. I have four and personally canbook in any of them at any time on any day. That includes " other familymedicine " which allows me to book folks after hours and on weekends. The " Malia, MD " schedule is accessible to my patients butonly for the limited hours I have set for it from Monday to Friday. Toallow the patients access to that, I can go to the related " Edit " tabfor that schedule and then press the icons for " allow " for " external " access. The other three schedules only allow " internal " access and get the big " NO " for external access.I think the issue is the fact that the term " business hours " is beingused in different ways to mean different things, and we are considering boththe posted hours on that front page (ie you working 15 hrs a day) vs the " business hours " you actually schedule patients.Somehow, I hope that helps, and I hope I didn't misstate the info.Good luck,TimOn Wed, February 4, 2009 1:35 pm EST, Sharon wrote: Thanks. The AQ supportsent some confusing message, butbasically it seems it can’t be done without Tim’s intermittent specialpowers. Guest guest
I set up 2 "people" and 2 locations -- but did it so long ago that I forget the setup, except blocking here and there. Set up the "other person" as nurse visits, so we scheduled flu shots but didn't have a ton of people all coming at once. I only have the $21.95/month version and can still do this. Guest guest
OK. That finally makes sense. I have the “classic†version ($14.75/month). I feel better now that we understand why you can do something I can’t, although I still believe you have special powers.
