Yes, magnesium worked with the nervous system. I take it for my heart.

It is given in hospitals when people are having heart attacks.

One caution. . .It is also used as a laxative. So, you have to be

careful about the dosage, because it can cause diarrhea.

I haven't given it to our son because he tends to lean towards

diarrhea already, from the Celexa. I didn't want to give him anything

that would make things even worse.
