Hi. There is a posting on the first day of each month with all the

abbreviations. You could go back to the first of April and find it.

FOO is family of origin and nada is a term to describe a borderline

mother in that she wasn't a mother, hence nada. I agree that

confronting a borderline with their condition is a waste of time. A

big part of their problem is that they don't recognize their abusive

behavior so confrontations are pointless. The book that helped me the

most was Understanding the Borderline Mother (UBM)It can be difficult

to find but worth the effort. It is overwhelming when first learning

of bpd but also very validating. It helps to read the posts on this

board and all the literature you can. Some people on this list keep

in contact with their nada and learn to set boundaries and others

have ended contact altogether. Obviously you don't have to decide

anything drastic right away and the more you read and the more you

see the behaviors in her the answers will surface I am sure. Good

luck and keep posting and feel free to share more about your

experience if you are comfortable.

Hi Anne,

Oops, there you are. <g> Somehow I missed your original post.

When you signed onto this list you should have also received a

copy of the abbreviations used on the WTO lists. I put them in

the " Files " section at the listserv and all newbies signing onto

the ModOasis list get a copy. And, like wrote, the WTO

Guidelines (all 12 sections) are posted to all the WelcomeToOz

lists at the beginning of each month. You'll find copies if you

sign in at the listserv with your YahooID, at:

http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/ModOasis

I'm glad you've signed on our ModOasis list.

We're having a heat wave in So California. It was 104 on my

porch today. They've promised us cooler weather tomorrow. :)

This is the 3rd day mom is so out of it.

They can't get her out of bed, she won't eat but she is drinking some.

Her vital signs are all okay but she is so uncomfortable with

terrible hot flashes aand terrible sweating. She is soaking wet!

I've found out that she was on Zyprexa(which was on the list of bad

meds that i gave them at the NH and said these meds she can't be on.

My sister knew this but said she had been taking it and it had been

helping her. Now since June 30 she was taken off it cold turkey!

Does anyone know if this could be the cause? She is really bad. She

does not sllep and they have given her trazazone and she still can't

sleep.

They want to send her to the ER but i said no! God know what they

would give her there! Why did our LO's have to get a disease that so

little is known about?????

I have to go to the NH now but if anyone knows what we could do for

her please let me know.

Thank you so much-

Sharon G.
