Guest guest
Hi Tabbatha,How did you get Medi-cal to approve your surgery so fast?I have been trying for a while.Where are you located? My doctor says he is behind me but I haven't seen any forward steps at all. Donna from Sacramento Tabbatha Burleson wrote: Hello, My name is Tabbatha Burleson. I am 28 years old. I am 9 days post-op. I have two boys and a wonderful husband. We have been together for 10 years this Dec. and married for 7 of those years come March. I have struggled with my weight since I was 17 years old. But it has only been within the last four or five years that I really started to have problems. My doctors recomended me to have this surgery done about 3 years ago, but things fell through, and I was not able to go through with the surgery. I believe that at that time I wasn't really ready. It wasn't until this last summer that I really started to research wls surgery. I came to the conclusion that if I didn't go through with it this time, I was not going to live to see my two boys grow up. I was 350+ lbs, with severe sleep apnea, hip pain, high blood pressure, breathing problems whenever I exerted myself, severe swelling of my legs and feet, and I was getting sores on them that would leak plasma and take forever to heal. My husband and family wanted so badly for me to have this surgery. In July of 07, I finally made the decision to go ahead and go for having the surgery. I went to my doctor and they made the appointment. In Sept. I had my appointment. I went to orientation and saw Dr.K and the psychologist, all in one day. By then I weighed 371 lbs. By the end of September I was approved by Medi-cal to have the surgery. I was so excited! I couldn't believe how fast things were going. I set my date for surgery Nov.7, 2007. I couldn't believe that it was finally going to happen. To me it was a miracle. My whole family was so proud of me and so happy for me. Here I am. Nine days out of surgery. I already feel so much better. When I went in this week to have the drains taken out I weighed 347 lbs. I was amazed. In one week I had lost almost 30lbs. I know that it is mostly, if not all, water weight. I feel the need to connect with others who have gone through or are going through the same things that I am. It is even better that we share the same surgery and doctor. I hope too, that I might be able to help someone else that is wondering if they should have the surgery, and have questions. I am sorry if I have gone on and on. I wasn't sure what exactly to write. Please feel free to ask any questions that you want of me. Thank You, Tabbatha Burleson. --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
Guest guest
EZ Claim works with multiple clearinghouses, not just one. I don't think you are in any trouble with going with EZ Claim. S Original Message To all Amazing Charts users, Please can you tell me what practice management software you use? I looked into EZ claims but someone told me that the clearinghouse they use is filing for bankrupcy. I believe AC is in the process of developing their own practice mx software. I would like to get your opinion on what has been working well so far, interfacing with AC. Thanks in advance.
Guest guest
I use an ASP called Medrium, used to be free, but now can pay $350/month, or per claim. You can run any custom report you want, and all the standards. The claims are all submitted electronically. Now seems way to expensive, but haven't taken the leap to looking at anything else, and transferring all that data. Guest guest
Wayne, basically I want to know if you are satisfied with it, any glitches, is it worth the price. We met with Quest yesterday and they are trying to sign us up. 's concernw ith some of Quest's programs is that they are host-based and we don't "own" the data when we want to quit. Guest guest
, as I read more of your posts it became apparent that you are interested in the e-Rx portion of Quest 360. We don't use that. We only use the free service to see and/or download patient's labs. [Practiceimprovemen t1] (unknown) Is anyone using Care360 through Quest?
