Guest guest Posted December 29, 2004 Report Share Posted December 29, 2004 Thank you for your suggestions. We have tried our LO on Aricept and Namenda. Unfortunately, neither of them did her any good. In fact she had side effects that caused problems with both. Her stomach is very sensitive to medication. Her doctor wanted to try Exelon but due to the warnings that it can cause severe stomach problems we didn't try it. We have now taken her off Risperdal. She was getting worse by the hour on that medication. We are going to give her system time to rid itself of the Risperdal before we try anything else. Does anyone know of a medication that has helped with the fear and paranoia that can accompany dementia? We really don't know where to turn to next.
