Guest guest Posted December 6, 2004 Report Share Posted December 6, 2004 hello all, dad was so happy after his birthday party as is alwyas the case with uncle lewy, it was shortlived. i had a prescription renewed of amoxicillin for dad because hde cant just seem to kick this bronchitis, a smile a day keeps the meanies away!!! laughter is a breath of fresh air! sorry i accidnely sent before i finished letter wlll duh cg dementia for sure!! anyways back to the story, this time the amoxicilin gave him extreme diarehhea, poor thing had it shooting out of himn and he couldt get to bathroom the second time, so he dropped his soiled pant on the floor and struggle to put clean pair on, he didnt want to call me and donnie as it was midnite and we were asleep. sigh, the first time he did it was about 2 in the morning and he made it to the bathroom butnot the toilet and our bathroom was coverd from cieling to floor in poop. again dad didnt call for help. i will be putting the baby monitor in his room tomorrow. i also called doctro for help we are getting daddy evaluated by hospice o thursday, teh first day that kellie the nurse ad i could coordinate a time, i am hoping to get dad a hospitla med to make it easier for him to get in/out of bed, and sit up ad put hiis feet up as they are starting to swell since he nows lays with his feet danglingoff the bed, and he sleep horizontal accorss his queensize bed so his feet still hang off the floor, my friend shannon i scoming into town wednesday to help me get this house reorganized post hurricane, we still dont have our florida room, hopefully our friend can come start working on in the next couple of weeks, i am soo anxious to have my craft room back since i replaced my sewing machine with a disney embroidery /sewing machine, i have all types of new storage containers to match my coke colors red and black. i have new plastic drawers and baskets of all shapes and sizes. eveyone take care hugs sharon m a smile a day keeps the meanies away!!! laughter is a breath of fresh air! Guest guest Posted December 8, 2004 Report Share Posted December 8, 2004 thanks brenda appreciate the positive thoughts. i treid to talk to dad and explained to him hospice is coming to help us get things to make ilife simpler/easier for him he knows he needs a hospital bed because his feet are swelling so bad becuase he cant keep the elevated like he needs to so that will help wit that, it wasnt an easy decision and when i found out that they have anoter lbd pateint i was in heaven by the way i am passing on this site to the other family so we may have naother pensacola member soon, sigh waiting for 11am to get here so i can get this appt over with hugs to all and hello to all newbies sharon m a smile a day keeps the meanies away!!! laughter is a breath of fresh air!
