Guest guest
Use the search tool to look through old posts. There has been a lot of good discussions about lip balms with some really useful information. But it's easier to search and read through old post then to try to summerize and repost it here. Guest guest
If you use lip balm, here's a quick tip for you: Check the ingredient list to make sure that your lip balmdoesn't contain phenol. Phenol is an antibacterial agent that tends to destroy thethe top layer of skin on your lips. If this happensrepeatedly due to regular use of lip balms that containphenol, you'll likely become dependent on lip balms to maintain lips that feel supple and healthy. Healthy alternatives to conventional lip balms includenatural moisturizers like jojoba oil, shea butter, andcoconut oil. Personally, I like and use coconut oil whenevermy lips start to feel chapped. A good general rule of thumbon choosing moisturizers is to use only those that you feelcomfortable eating.
