Guest guest Posted May 24, 2004 Report Share Posted May 24, 2004 My mom.. diagnosed with Lewy Body approx 7 yrs ago began jumping violently. I'm sure she had a HUGE seizure since she stiffened and was foaming at the mouth. She was not " with it " at the time. I'm wondering if this is a side effect of Zyprexa? I've read all the literature and it seems to be one. I called 911 and when they rehydrated her and treated her for pneumoina and a UTI, the jerking has stopped. My doctor calls these myocolonic jerks? I called Lilly's hotline but they are closed. Is this the disease... the Zyprexa... dehydration... infection.. or all of the above?
