Hi Bob-

I know i read something about Zyprexa not being good.

Did you look in the LB files ?

Sending prayers for your mom.

My mom.. diagnosed with Lewy Body approx 7 yrs ago began jumping

violently. I'm sure she had a HUGE seizure since she stiffened and

was foaming at the mouth. She was not " with it " at the time. I'm

wondering if this is a side effect of Zyprexa? I've read all the

literature and it seems to be one. I called 911 and when they

rehydrated her and treated her for pneumoina and a UTI, the jerking

has stopped. My doctor calls these myocolonic jerks? I called

Lilly's hotline but they are closed. Is this the disease... the

Zyprexa... dehydration... infection.. or all of the above? I would

appreciate any insight anyone can give. Thanks in advance, Bob

Hi,

It could be all of the above but since your mom is in hospital I'd have them

do a complete check-up on her. Please let us know.

Bob, Zyprexa put my wife in the hospital 3 years ago and if she

hadn't been taken off of it , she would have died.. This is NO NO NO

drug for LBD Lily, the manufactor, sent out a message to all

doctors just a few weeks to not prescribe this to senior dementa

patients. I can't remember when, but I have a copy of the message

in my files at the assisted living home where my wife is, if you

need it just let me know. Bob Winstead Nashville Tn
