Guest guest Posted October 13, 2004 Report Posted October 13, 2004 Dear Sharon- It's good seeing you here again. Thinking of you and keeping you in my prayers. Hugs- Sandie -- Hello my friends.....I'm back I'm sorry it's been so long and i had said i would be back to offer support and answer questions but i never realized how hard this would be for me losing mom. It's 3 months tonight that she won her battle and passed away. Some days are easier than others but i would give anything to see her and hug her again. I needed to be away from LB for awhile but never meant to be away so long. Once it's part of your life it's always a part of your life. I've brought tons of info to my doctor and Parkinson's group here in Hudson. Anyways, i have not and i don't know if i will catch up on all the posts i've missed but i'm here to offer support and try to help others here. To new members....welcome to a group that has so many caring and understanding people. This group helped answer my questions and gave me support 24/7. My mom passed away July 13th 2004. She was diagnosed with Parkinson's 7 years ago. She started having some problems with anxiety in Feb. 2003 and we started noticing a real change in her Aug.2003. Not being able to balance her check book, forgetting things, having trouble taking her meds and the hallucinating started. She ended up falling and breaking her hip and never was able to walk by herself again. She was in a NH and my sister or i were there every night till she went to bed. She didn't want to get out of bed July 3rd and wasn't opening her eyes much at all. By July 8th she refused to eat and wasn't talking anymore. She died in my arms on July 13th peacefully. It is so hard not having her here anymore but i am thankful she didn't suffer with LB too long. Or at least when it got worse. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. i will try to answer the best i can. I know everyone is different but i alway liked to compare. I am not on every day but will try to be here as much as i can. My prayers are still with you all. Quote
