Thanks Carol, I will keep all posted. One part of me

says this can be his saving grace if he went

peacefully with the aneurism and not have to suffer

through the end symptoms of LBD. But another side of

me wants to hold on and hope that the aneurism doesn't

get any worse. I am so torn!

I didn't feel that he needs to go through major

surgery, only to be saved to face death in another

horrible way. And who's to say that the anesthetics or

major surgery wouldn't cause death. His body is

already so weakened and the fact that he doesn't want

any life saving procedures to be done. If I opted for

the surgery, it would really be going against his

wishes, it would only be for my own benefit hoping to

keep him around longer.

simmel,

i am sorry to hear about the mass they found in liam's lung i pray that all

will be well soon. take care of yourself as well as him as you are very

important too, must take care of teh caregiver too you know.

about the compassion that doctors now a days either do or dont have, i am

glad to say that as a long time patient of vanderbilt medical center that i nteh

past several years more time has been spent on teaching patient compassion

then in the past. now it seems like bedside manners is actually taught now,

instead fo assumed. i hope it continues to do so . hugs, sharon m

a smile a day keeps the meanies away!!!

laughter is a breath of fresh air!

Jan.....

When Liam was in the hospital that last week they found a small mass on the

lung which was, according to those reading the MRI, lung cancer. Since there

was nothing else they seemed to be able to do, they ere telling us how they

could operate on this. Here was a man basically in a coma. We all said get

him well then we can talk about an operation. I do wonder where some of

these doctors got their training. When Liam was a practicing physician he

had such compassion....where has it gone?
