Guest guest
Hi Cat, I am the same (no ocd), my son too (ocd). I think it is more a sensory integration thing that is common with kids with ocd. Our son has been like this since he was born, before ocd. I'm on the bipolar spectrum and I know when I'm slipping into the manic side because I will have to leave the table over chewing noises, it's a cue for me, along with noise intolerance in general. Think it probably comes along with sensitive/out of whack neorological " wiring " ... Think also those closest to us tend to irritate the most, whether it's chewing or other, or is that just me? Suspect that's part of the reason why the ocd is always worse at home, plus the comfort factor. Just some thoughts. Barb > > > > I cannot stand the sound of chewing/noisy eaters.
