Guest guest
Welcome home Barbara! Lynn reintroduction Hi Everyone, My name is Barbara Gardner and I was a member of this wonderful group years ago. This disease is not new to me; it will have its 16th birthday this August. Still, many things have changed and the need for support and keeping up-to-date are important. I was misdiagnosed with Lupus the first 10 years and treated accordingly. Some physicians disagreed with that diagnosis because lab tests did not match. They were right. When I became ill with Stills 16 years ago, Systemic Vasculitis joined in and raged. Prior to proper diagnosis, temporal lobe epilepsy joined in and created frightful feelings and behavior. Thank God it's under control. Soon, this was joined by asthma. In 1996, I had a serious stroke and almost didn't make it. Since then there have been 2 milder strokes. Polyneuritis comes from disc problems in the cervical spine, L/S spines, and bone loss in the neck and hips. And last, it was discovered cataracts are in both eyes, explaining visual problems. I'm 45 years old. My husband, , and I had a short Anniversary trip to Las Vegas last year. Bob told me we would be there during part of the Stills Convention. I was elated! The gathering was warm, wonderful, and made me cry, coming and going! truly enjoyed everyone we met. My intention was to reintroduce myself before now, but nearly every member understands how busy it is with family, doctor appointments and life. I tried to be brief here, but it didn't work. Many have more on their plate than me, so I don't feel sorry for myself. I'm here to catch up on new information, and hopefully make new friends. Feel free to email me personally or on the Stills site! Guest guest
Hi Barbara I've been a member for about a year. I've made some lovely friends, that's for sure! It's nice to meet you. Sounds like you've had a very hard time. Are all those things Stills related? I hope you're well today.
