......In regards to 's post. Wow, what are you talking about?! I

have sat patiently by and watch you attempt to insult Dietrich

Buchenholz and now this when it is rather obvious that you have no

idea what either man even teaches. It is one this to have gone

through the Chek program and then insult it, or train under Dietrich

Buchenholz's and then discuss it, but you have done neither. On what

basis, , do you make all your great attacks? Have you even read

all of DB articles? Have you read all of 's? They both offer

them for free. Did you at least give them that much? There are even

videos available if that makes it easier! Both of these men have

offered great training insight for all of us. We do not have to

agree with them, but at least they are out there trying. What are

you doing for our great community of trainers?!?

maybe you'll learn something. All the readers are getting sick and

tired of hearing you

some real effort to get up and accomplish something. Where as, it

takes no effort to sit back and try to destroy someone's hard work.

So please stop making negative comments when it is extremely obvious

that you have no idea even what the true topic of discussion is.

Leave the polite, constructive comments up for those who are

actually doers in this field.

I'm trying to find something substantive in this post, aside from an

emotional reaction to the fact that I have the hair to question and

criticize your favorite gurus. Among the numerous dubious

assumptions and assertions:

1) Criticism and questioning = insult and attack.

2) One has to read ALL of someone's writings and/or buy ALL of their

products before commenting on anything they have to say.

3) One has to be a professional or specialist in the same field as

someone in order to question or criticize anything they have to say.

These ideas are almost too absurd to warrant a rebuttal. I have

never made claim to any particular fame or level of expertise here,

nor would I. Criticisms of claims or practices should stand on

their own, without resort to purported authority, just as the claims

and practices do. I can think and observe and I can write. Dr.

Siff and the current moderator seem to find my comments at least

mimimally civil and relevant. Hence, I believe I am free to post

here without being subject to censorship by you based upon the above

summarized " principles " or because you don't like me.

To my knowledge, I have never insulted or attacked anyone personally

on ST (as, arguably, you just have), but have confined my often

critical comments to the content of posts and the behavior of those

who post in this arena. If you cannot tell the difference, it is

not my problem.

The comment about " Chekkies " was merely an honest comment on my

surprise at the abrupt left-turn the original post took from where I

thought it was going. I have criticized Chek ideas here,

particularly those regarding lower back stablization and the use of

broad evolutionary speculation as a basis for training programs. I

have criticized DBuchenholz's behavior here because he was rude and

egotistical. You are correct that I don't know much about what he

teaches, and my attempts to read his loquacious, self-indulgent

posts did little to remedy this.

Aside from the invocation of titles and authority and an attack on

ME, I see nothing of substance in your post. If you know so much

about what both these men teach and hold these ideas in such high

regard, perhaps you should do something constructive to cure me of

my ignorance. How about presenting an outline or summary of some

actual ideas, principles, or programs originated by these people

that explain why you think they warrant such reverence?

Brad:

You may want to review the ST archives and look at the posts by Check.

In the past he has made very bold statements that he could not support. He

lost respect when he claimed that the C.H.E.K. certification and his last

name were just a coincidence. He has columns appearing in health fitness

magazines regarding the need for certifying organizations to adopt one

standard, yet he has not followed any of the standards already developed by

ACSM, NSCA, ACE, etc. What concerns me personally is that does not

appear to have any formal course of training (to my knowledge he has no

academic background), so he has developed a business model where he finds

out information from second hand sources and then charges money to share

that information with others - that should tell people that they do not need

to attend 's courses to obtain the information. The people seeking his

certification courses could have obtained that information on their own AND

perhaps more importantly they have a certification without a context (ie

only himself has validated it which is meaningless). 's assessment

protocols have become almost legendary, not for what they find out, rather

for the tremendous waste of time. Just simply taking a measurement without

being able to utilize the information in a constructive fashion that will

benefit the client (or perhaps further a research project) amounts to

nothing more than a show.

Brad Kaczmarski:

I think that everyone forgets that Chek is a Corrective

Exercise Specialist.

DD:

[isn't that a self appointed title??? - DD]

Brad Kaczmarski:

> The key word here being Corrective. A majority of the information

is geared at correcting imbalances or problems first and foremost.

This will make a huge difference in the approach taken towards

exercise. If your main focus lies in free weight training via

progression from the rehabilitative setting, then the Strong-and-

Stable program offers this path. I am not trying to get you to buy

this video series(I could care less), I am simple pointing out that

such an option does exist. In fact all of his programs are geared

toward progressing to free-weight training, if that be your goal.

DD:

[is this the same Chek who in his nutrition video says that 80%

of back pain related to his new found passion for Natropathy - DD]
