Good evening fellow Stilligan's:

I finally got a chance to read through everyone's emails from yesterday and so far today's....

Thank you for the heartfelt welcome I have gotten from each of you yesterday. It makes me feel good to know I am not alone in this but yet I still feel that way. I suppose in time it will get better for me.

Yes- I am from Southern land- specifically St. 's County. Pretty fast growing place with a bit of rural life still left before the concrete jungle swallows it whole. I have the proud NAS Pax River nearby and I listen to the test pilots fly daily as well as the helicopters too. Kind of poetically mixed in there with the rest of the world. My present day hubby works for a company doing RND work for the Navy.

It is also nice to know that this is not a "young or old " Persons disease like my grandma likes to call it, now that I broke down and told her about me having Still's. She's constantly saying that I am a 33yr old with old people's problems, and that I should have taken better care of myself. WOW! I did not ask for this and certainly did not do it to myself. There is no one thing to blame or person to point a finger at for causing this.

Now, on to my questions for everyone or anyone who can answer them:

What exactly does this Plaquenil do for my immune system, other than reorder it? Is there anything special I need to know about it? Because I did read the information sheet that came with my script, but it seem pretty generic in it's explanation of side effects etc..... And how long will I have to be on it?

How do you explain Still's Disease to those who don't know about it? I have already tried to explain it and lost my brain and nerves. In trying... I printed off the "Layman's" format of the brochure, but god only knows who is going to have questions. My hubby said it is pretty straight forward. in all that it said. And he said it's nothing he has not already seen me have less the rash.

Well, I am back to my evening running a fever and time for me to take my next dose of meds.......and go curl up and cope.....

Hugs and Snuggles to all...
