Guest guest
Hi to all, I have started my intelligence testing and it will continue for a few more weeks. On the first batch I did well he said on some parts, but he would have to do comparisons on others. I know on the math problems that he gave me, some of them I was able to screen out the information I didn't need and others I couldn't do that, nor could I even concentrate long enough to to even remember the numbers. I was vey embarrassed during alot of the tests and felt really stupid. I was reading some Dr Lieberman questions and answers and one was on hallucinations. His response was that People being treated with PD meds and do not tolerate them resulting in hallucinations do so for two reasons and one being they are elderly and the other being they have an underlying dementia. this was not too encouraging to me. Regarding faking things this I do not understand and wonder after seeing many programs about brain damage and how it can do things such as only allowing you to see half of something that is there if indeed they are faking. I am not saying it doesn't happen as I believe there are personality types who do this sort of thing and have all their lives, but I would caution that you give them the benefit of the doubt as it could be damage to the brain due to the disease. The mind is such a fragile thing and can be set off balance so easyily. As for those who are truly dealing with this my heart goes out to you as I know how aggravating it can be for you. This disease can test and try every emotion you have inside. It did so with me and my mother and now it is doing so again as a patient. Keep in mind that they too are stressed and they will handle it the way they have always handled stress. Usually we revert back to our own childish ways. I am sorry if I have sounded cruel or unfelling here it is not my intention, nor is it the way I feel, but it seems now I am experienceing both sides of the coin and that is truly confusing to me. I want to be good and do right till the end of my days, but I know that it is inevitable no matter how hard I try there are those I am going to hurt. God be with you all....Hugs...Patti
