Guest guest
Well I'm home and recovering getting better every day. This was a very hard surgery for me, Dr K said he removed approx. 5 feet of the colon, and due to all the blood cells in the section of colon that was removed in addition to all the fluids they gave me I ended up getting 6 units of blood, but all that's behind me now and like I said everyday gets better. I still dont have much of an appetite and can't eat much when I do, which is fine with me as long as I get my protein :-)and everything taste different, foods I usually could eat and enjoyed I either dont like the taste right now or they gas me up where they didn't before. This is suppose to be common after this surgery and I was told to give it 4 weeks for everything to settle down and 6 weeks before I do any lifting. So for those of you who were praying, thank you and please continue, I seem to want to run a low grade temp and I still get some pretty hard gas pain and low back pain. take care everyone and hope to hear from you soon....Melody
Guest guest
Melody I glad your on your way to recovery. Interesting that food taste have changed when surgery was much further down the digestive tract. My prayer to you is that each day you wake up you feel 10 times better than you did the day before.
