Guest guest
Many doctors say that one will not test positive for lyme until they kill it for a month or two or three first. This is due to the way lyme affects the antibodies in the body. I imagine every protocol has its differences, and unfortunately, there are different lyme strains and then depending upon the other infections, toxins, etc. he has, it also effects things. What I normally hear is worsening and improvement cycles. Its really difficult to answer this question because it also varies on the choice of treatment. I will list some names and you can google their knowledge and pick what you think you want to go with. When you narrow it down to a specific treatment, you will know more on what to expect. I do hear a lot of improvements in autism symptoms that quickly come, but some medical problems also arise when using antibiotics long-term. Thus, its important to know all about the treatment you choose. Dr. Usman, Dr. Klinghardt, Care Clinics in Autism, Dr. Lee Cowden, Dr. Bransfield, Dr. Ray , Dr. Burrascano, Dr. Amy Derkson, Dr. Gordon, www.lymeinducedautism.com I would not recommend Minocycline. I feel it works, but it has permanent side effects of grey teeth and bones and black thyroid. There are too many other alternatives to risk such side effects. Heidi N I am having my son tested for lyme disease and the test hasn't come back yet. He is 14 and autistic and has for the last month been really off and banging on all of his joints. If he tests positive should I not use antibiotics and how soon with the biomed treatment do you see results? Thanks DianneGet fantasy football with free live scoring. Guest guest
His doctor called today and said the test was negative and I said well, I've heard you can test negative but still be positive. He has had achy joints for about 4 weeks and she said she didn't feel if he had symptoms that long that he would test negative. I don't know what to do next. Any advice? thanks dianneGet fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today.

I have been considering doing this, even though my tests and my son's tests indicate no lyme. I understand Cat's Claw is effective...? Have you had success with the herbal treatments? > Yes, we got rid of all cordless phones and wireless internet and don't allow cell phones on in the house. Dr. Mercola has lots of info on his website about this too. > Thanks for your help! > > > > Re: 3. At the Lyme Induced Autism Conference, most stated they felt the herbs worked better than the antibiotics. I guess it comes down to other infections, toxins, and specific strain. I chose not to go the antibiotic route. As much as I do hear of miraculous recoveries from antibiotics, I also hear stories of no improvement, thus antibiotics are not my first choice. Klinghardt stated that he felt autism was mostly caused by lyme and electrosmog. He said something about having moms hold a voltage meter (or some kind of reader - I will have to look it up) and the ones that had children with autism had high voltage from wireless gadgetry and also electrical fields. He said lyme and mold somehow grow in high electrosmog areas. He said lyme, mold and location was what he felt was the most likely cause of autism. He said you can get one of those hand-held > readers from Radio Shaack for $40.00. I haven't gotten around to it yet, but I did rid my house cordless phones, and keep my cell phone off at the house now. I am planning on doing some more research into this electrosmog stuff to make sure we are not cooking in our own home. > > Heidi N > > > Well, after personally going through 4 years of treatment for lyme by one of the top lyme doctors (this doctor was consulted by the author of the Lyme Induced Autism book), I can say that I made absolutely NO progress, and, in fact, got worse, even though extensive testing shows I have been free from lyme for over four years. I only started feeling better after I started biomedical treatments with my son and started seeing my son's DAN doctor for myself. I also now need to repair the damage caused by four years of intensive antibiotic treatment, including daily rocephin shots. I would really think twice before putting my child on any long-term antibiotic therapy, which is what is suggested by many doctors treating chronic lyme. > Lyme doctors make you think lyme is the " smoking gun. " After four years of research on lyme and three years of extensive research on autism and biomedical treatments, I believe lyme is merely a secondary infection, due to the problems present in autism: compromised immune system, genetic mutations in the methylation pathway, heavy metals, etc. and do NOT believe lyme is the cause of autism. In other words, even if the lyme is the precipitating factor, I don't believe it would induce autism without other factors (common to autism) being present. My suggestion is, yes, read all the info you can about lyme, but fit it in to the puzzle with all of the other pieces the biomed community has learned about autism.. >

Guest guest
Many don't ever have achy joints. Her assumption does match mainstream medicals assumption, but know that mainstream medical is not helping people get well. The famous, successful doctors say a few test positive right off the bat, most will not until they kill the lyme for one to three months, then stop the lyme-killer for a few days to 6 weeks, and test again. Lyme lives inside of thick or semi-solid body fluids/parts; it doesn't stay much in the blood, and the tests that work are the ones that detect antibodies due to this. But since lyme eliminates the body's ability to make natural killer antibodies, you have to kill the lyme first to bring back this ability. Guest guest
vitamin d deficiency is a clue for lymes...vit c also fits that bill.  the hard part about lymes with our kids is the making of the antibodies...don't trust the doctors on this one...go with your gut and keep an open mind.  i had "achy joints" at the onset of my pregnancy....let's see...i got to have an ultrasound of my gallbladder...then it was off to the orthopedic for "bakers cyst" at which point we did know i was pregnant....i had a rash, i had a sore in my mouth (right next to my worst filling...hummmm), elevated eosinophils, c-reactive protien in the blood...blood and protien in the urine....all the tell tale signs of lyme....but they did the shitty test.  when my kid was 8 months for some reason, they did a western blot...and positive IgM to band 23....but nope no lymes....well i'm CDC positive. my child doesn't have elevated blood eosinophils...just eosinophilic  esaughagitis/entercolitis....no elevated c-reactive protien....but his igenex test is + by LLMD.  it's nasty....but lymes/yeast and coinfections really important to address. lisa The Famous, the Infamous, the Lame - in your browser. Guest guest
yes, he drinks a lot of water every day. Today he is really banging all of his joints. Do you think it could be a really nasty virus that could do this to him? thanks DianneGet fantasy football with free live scoring. Sign up for FanHouse Fantasy Football today.
