I would be very interested to know more about the supplemental

Insurance policies that you have found.

Would you mind sharing that on the list because I'm willing to bet

That many people would be interested. If not, you can

What does yours cover?

What company provides it? What are the restrictions?

Didn't they exclude your child because of the autism diagnosis?

What kind of supplement is the best to look for? I had

Never thought of a supplemental policy, so I'm very interested

We currently have Tricare Standard, a military insurance, with a

Tricare supplement. Many insurance companies can provide a

supplement to your primary insurance, just look/ask around.

In our case, we found a supplemental insurance that covered the cost

out-of-pocket expenses for non-network providers. Also, Tricare

standard allows us to chose our own doctors, not just the Tricare

approved providers. This gives us much more freedom to utilize

doctors and other medical providers to help treat our son.

Ask your insurance company about their policy for non-network

providers and if they know of any supplemental insurance programs.

That would be a good place to start.
