Guest guest Posted February 14, 2008 Report Share Posted February 14, 2008 Hello Everyone, I was finally diagnosed with AOSD after years of hospitilizations and different doctors passing me from specialist to specialist. Most of my complaints were met with diagnosis of depression and prescriptions of antidepressants. I am 32 years old and work in pharmaceutical research and my own knowledge of the medical field has been my saving grace. For years I have known there was something wrong with me and I refused to cooperate with a doctor I felt did not take my complaints seriously. Needless to say, I have been through a lot of physicians. I officially received the diagnosis recently and it was initially a valadation to know that yes, there is something wrong with me. It's not just in my head. My family and I are soaking up all the information we can on the disease right now. Its nice to meet everyone.
